3 times in a row now. I order crab rangoon ($9.99) and they over cook them and there's nothing left inside. I asked for new ones that aren't dark brown and they just tik them back and said no. I'm glad I checked this time before I paid. Their other location is delicious but 40 minutes away. This was my last time. Very disappointing

The Traveler

A Peaceful Oasis of Culinary Bliss:

Stepping into Chen's Chinese Bistro is like finding a quiet, peaceful oasis in the middle of a busy day. The moment you walk through the door, the atmosphere is just so serene and calming. It's elegantly decorated, with soft lighting and beautiful accents that make you feel instantly at ease. It’s the perfect setting for a quiet dinner and truly a place where you can relax and savor your meal.

And oh, what a meal it is. My journey into culinary happiness began with the egg flour soup (or as they call it, Egg Flower Soup). I've had this dish at countless restaurants, but Chen's version... it's in a league of its own. With the first spoonful, my mouth quite literally exploded with happiness. The broth is a velvety, savory masterpiece, and the delicate ribbons of egg are perfectly cooked. It's a simple dish done with an extraordinary level of care and flavor.

The rest of our meal was just as incredible, proving that their commitment to authentic, high-quality food is no fluke. The Mongolian Beef and Twice-Cooked Pork were both flawlessly executed, bursting with deep, rich flavors that are simply unmatched.

The service is exceptional, and the entire experience feels personal and special. If you're looking for an authentic Chinese meal served in a wonderfully peaceful setting, Chen's is the only place to go. The amazing atmosphere and that life-changing egg flour soup make it a solid five stars.

Best Chinese food I've had in the East Valley, no doubt. pork chow mein, Mongolian chicken or beef, and orange chicken are a must try!

Food was delicious, but our server was awful, seemed like she didn’t care about her job and was very rude from the second we walked in. Didn’t check on us when we got our food, never came to give us drink refills. She just sat at a both on her phone the whole time. I was a server for many years and now I’m a manager of a restaurant and I would be furious if my employees did this to any of their guest.

Delicious. This was a last minute lunch stop and I wasn’t disappointed. The General Tso’s Chicken was great and I would not hesitate to stop back. All the staff were super friendly too.

Their pretty quick and the foods ok I'm a New Yawker so I expect a lot when it come to my foods. The employees are nice enough but the prices are outta control not that most places aren't but 2 beef with broccolis and pork fried rice was almost 50 bucks and there wasn't much beef in them so C+ rating

This is hands-down one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in town. The way they treat everyone like family is truly heartwarming. You can tell they have a loyal group of regulars, and even when they’re busy, they go out of their way to make every customer feel special.

The food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend the orange or lemon chicken, egg foo young, hot and sour soup, and Singapore noodles—though honestly, I’ve never had a dish here that wasn’t fantastic. Their customer service is top-notch, making the dining experience even better.

If you’re looking for amazing Chinese food and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to go!
