Very Authentic Korean food. Chodang is the best Korean food in Phoenix area.Try their sulungtang, I think it’s the best sulungtang in the state. I’m travelinga lot. I always stop at Chodang to have yang jee(양지) sulungtang when I’m in Phoenix area. Good food , good service, and side dishes are so delicious too. Can’t wait to go back!

I ordered seafood tofu soup. Couldn't find any seafood in it. They also charged the extra fee for credit card payment.

Let's get it out of the way. The dishes were amazing. They were delicious. Absolutely no doubt about that. We try to support local, family, and small business whenever we can, but it is a matter of principle, we just can not recommend Chodang Tofu Restaurant due to what appeared to be greedy and scheming practice at this place. Is it to either to save themselves a few bucks or make a few more bucks? Whatever that reason might be, it doesn't matter. You guessed it. They charge you extra fees to eat there. Upon confronting them, they claimed they have a sign about the fees. But seriously, we walked in, they walked us to the table right away. We never saw the sign. If it was full transparency, could they have stopped and shown us the sign and asked if we are fine with the fees? They didn't. There was no disclosure of the fees on the menu either. Then, they also cited that it's really a fee for credit card use but seriously, who the hell uses cash nowadays. On top of that, as you can see from our receipt, the small Bulgogi dish was $25.99, Haemul Pa jeon $23.99, Bibimbop $18.99, etc... so you tell me that they are not already overcharging?! Hence, greedy and scheming. Look, they absolutely have a great product, their delicious dishes. But rather than focusing on capturing a loyal customer base by their products and services, they are focusing on scheming you for a few bucks?! Unbelievable. Attorney General Chris Mayes is going after restaurants with this practice. We will definitely help her office take down bad businesses like Chodang Tofu Restaurant.

Chodang Tofu Restaurant never fails to satisfy my craving for authentic Korean food. Their soft tofu soup is simply irresistible; it's a comfort blanket on particularly cold, desert nights. I also love their Bulgogi and seafood pancake!

First time here, 5-star reviews on YELP. I must say the food was Excellent, Just as good as Hawaii, if not better! The owner Bonnie was fun and terrific customer service. She is from Seattle, Had a restaurant for 41 years, decided to move to Arizona to open a restaurant. So.. if you're in the area looking for a good Korean restaurant this is the place. Aloha,Derek

Sweet family owned and fresh home cooking. We ate bibimbop, kimchi chigae, and two other meals, all of which were delicious! Highly recommend this food. Two of us had plenty of food for lunch tomorrow, and frankly, the other two over ate! Lol. If you like Korean you'll live this place.

Venture out a couple of blocks from downtown Chandler, and voila! We got here around 1530 on a Friday and were the only customers for a little while. Modest decor. Local mom and pop. They bought this establishment about a year ago. The food came out sizzling. They use good quality meats. Everything was great. The glass noodles were a little rubbery. But overall pleased and would come back. Service was friendly and attentive.
