I lived in China for a long time. Can testify that this is true Chinese cuisine.

This place was amazing. We definitely recommend. This was one of the best Chinese food restaurants I’ve been to. You can see them making their dumplings and noodles from scratch. We’re definitely coming back. The service was great, super friendly and attentive.

I have some bad news for you. Take your favorite Chinese food restaurant you’ve ever been to and forget them because this is by far the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever eaten at the food is amazing. It is super authentic. I was a little hesitant to order and even a little intimidated by the menu, but everything tasted amazing. They were making the dumplings right there in front of you. I ordered food I would normally not gave had ordered and enjoyed every bit of it. Definitely recommend.

Finding truly authentic, handmade cuisine can feel like striking gold, and Chou's Kitchen in Chandler is exactly that kind of treasure. This isn't your average Chinese takeout; Chou's Kitchen focuses on delivering fresh, homestyle flavors, and the dedication to craftsmanship is nowhere more evident than in their star offering: the homemade dumplings.
The difference between mass-produced and hand-rolled dumplings is immediately palpable. At Chou's Kitchen, each dumpling is lovingly crafted, resulting in wrappers that are tender yet robust enough to hold their savory filling without tearing. Whether you choose them steamed, boiled, or pan-fried, the quality shines through. The pan-fried option delivers a perfect golden-brown crispness on the bottom, contrasting beautifully with the chewy wrapper and the juicy, deeply seasoned pork, chicken, or vegetable filling inside.
The experience here is warm and welcoming, reflecting a commitment to traditional cooking. While the dumplings are the undeniable main event, the menu is filled with other authentic delights, such as fresh hand-pulled noodles and classic regional dishes that showcase the restaurant’s commitment to genuine, non-Americanized Chinese fare. Pair your dumplings with their chili oil or a splash of black vinegar for a truly satisfying bite.
Chou's Kitchen is essential dining for anyone in the East Valley seeking comfort food made with care. If you are looking for that chewy, tender, and perfectly filled dumpling experience that can only come from a truly homemade effort, this Chandler spot is the only place you need to be.

Firstly: The food is out of this world. They have the best, most flavorful orange chicken with an amazingly crunchy texture. Their fried rice is also to die for. Secondly: the employees are genuinely so sweet and kind to me every single time. There's a lady who's always there and she is so kindhearted and nonjudgemental, and I appreciated how she explained one of the food options to us to ensure we were ordering what we wanted. I wish I had gotten her name because she deserved a glowing review for the multiple time she's served us over the past years.
Absolutely amazing place, 10/10. My favorite restaurant ever. Great amount of food!! The food came out really crazy fast too this time which I loved.

Was looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant while we were out and about and definitely found it. Exactly what I look for when testing a new restaurant: small space, busy with locals, and fast! We went about 730 on a Thursday and they were still packed! Service was speedy and quick to the point. Food was really good. Pictured was the orange chicken and the seared pork buns, we also got the juicy pork dumplings. I would get it all again plus some.

I can see why they were so busy . We will be back!

Absolutely delicious food. Authentic and tasty. Everyone we have introduced to Chou's have also added it to their list of favorites. I have friends who drive from the West side just to eat here.

The staff are super friendly and very efficient. Service is quick.

The restaurant is located in a modest strip mall next to a Goodwill store, a VFW, and several small ethnic stores. It may not look that attractive, but as soon as you walk inside you immediately realize that those who know, are loyal fans. It is popular for both dine in and take out. Parking is very easy.

Chou's is our favorite spot, and pretty much the only place we've found in the valley with decent mala flavors so far. I personally love the mapo tofu, the soup dumplings, and the spicy beef noodle soup the best! We've tried most of the menu at this point and are rarely disappointed. We also love the staff there. They're really funny, kind, and welcoming! Chou's is a small restaurant. It feels cozy and makes me think of authentic home cooking. That being said, it's best done family style, so get a group and order together to get tastes of everything!

This place has gone downhill. We ordered a few entrees to go. This has been some of the most expensive Chinese food, low quality(entrees seem to have a bunch of cheap filler ingredients), and the portions are just average. How do you not hit at least one of the three important factors of a restaurant? I am not sure how they even compete with the influx of Chinese restaurants coming into the East Valley. I can’t recommend this place to anyone.

Chou's is honestly probably my favorite restaurant in the area. Its very small, but the food is 10/10, the staff are amazing and SO NICE. We always get soup dumplings and the smashed cucumber and it is the perfect meal on a hot day. All of their food has been amazing, but those dishes are my fave!

Great experience, wonderful food. So delicious. If we didn’t live 20 miles away we’d come more often. Great for babies and also our parents. We enjoy the portion sizes and eat family style so everyone can enjoy many dishes. The eggplant, potato, pepper dish and the kung pao chicken are so good. Don’t miss out on this place.

Seems to be run by a Chinese family. They are very friendly and service is good.

For the food, the Mongolian Beef was tough and stringy. I give it grade C-. Pork pot stickers were better, though the pork filling (like a little meatball) was too well done and stiff. The dough was excellent, though. Probably made in the restaurant. Give these a B.

They do not cater to individuals or seniors. No lunch menu. No senior selections. Pot stickers only come in quantity eight -- asked for four and they would not do it. The Mongolian beef was enough to feed three people. Lots not eaten. Could have done with half the portions and half the price.

Atmosphere is open, bright, but noisy. The family talked with each other in very loud Chinese voices, which was not a relaxing situation for me as a customer.

I can see this place being popular with many, though I was not terribly pleased.
