Wifi was very slow and and I wasn't able to study which was what I came to this coffee shop specifically for. I ordered a vanilla latte breve which was just okay. Baristas were friendly and the views are gorgeous but if you're trying to study/work definitely just go to downtowntown Chandler for their coffee shops or find a Starbucks.

Well, I was a little disappointed. The coffee shop has a policy that you have to purchase a drink to “reserve” a table. I, unfortunately, was fasting for Ramadan so I couldn’t drink anything but I needed somewhere to take an online test since the library’s are closed on the weekend. I had come with a friend who did buy something, but after she left, I was asked to either buy something or leave. I was in the middle of the third block of my four block test. It just really stung because it’s tough enough to find a good place to get work done, but it’s even worse when you embarrassed by a server for not buying a drink. I had to pack up and quickly drive down to Starbucks, and fortunately they gave me permission to finishing my test there without having to buy anything.To give Coffee Rush some credit, all the other employees were friendly enough and the owner had a great radiant presence to him. There is a very light hearted and fun energy in the coffee shop and the music was positive. The pond just outside also made a beautiful place to take a fresh air break. The clientele ranged in diversity which was special to see. Also the wall of candid photos of friends, employees, and families was heart warming to see.It wasn’t a horrible place to be. Taking a test was kinda hard since there is a lot of foot traffic and the music/chatter is a bit loud, but I just faced a wall and put on noise-cancelling headphones. I’m not from the area, it was just a place that my friend and I wanted to try out.I guess this would be a perfect place to do desk work that doesn’t require too much focus and when you can buy something. Not as great if you’re practicing Ramadan and trying to take a test. Bummer.

The bald man working the counter this morning needs a serious attitude adjustment. And they do not make your coffee with care, it’s done so sloppily. I’ll stick to the Gilbert location, the employees there are way nicer and the coffee is better.
