Very disappointed - not what it was!
Wow! This used to be in my top 3-4 for smoked meat barbecue. But they changed things since the last time we were here.
They reduced the cost significantly, which is something you don't really see. But the quality isn't the same.
My brisket was nice and tender and the flavor was okay, but not the deeply smoked awesomeness I like. The (pork} "rib ends" were tough, rubbery and basically inedible. Our server apologized and replaced the inedible pork with more brisket. The 2nd portion of brisket was better than the first, but still fell short of the cravable awesomeness I'm wanting. I think the issue is maybe a lack of smoke. It also might be a lack of fat to render & give that creamy mouthfeel. This was some pretty lean beef!
The beans were nothing remarkable. The cornbread muffin was pretty good, but would've been better if offered with butter. Maybe some honey, too! The pickles were tasty but the pickled onions just tasted like vinegar and weren't "pickled" really, tho they turned red. They were a bit crunchy.
The value was good though. Our meal with a tip & only water to drink was $40, We ordered off the "lunch" menu, which got us smaller portions & a single side.
There are multiple options for "middlin" barbecue, which is what this apparently has turned into. Not terrible (except for the rib ends), not that expensive, but not that great.
Oh well.

It was my first time eating here and it was great I got a 3 meat plate chiken fingers jalapeño cheddar sausage and cat fish fingers with my sides being mac and cheese and French fries 😋. My mom luved the corn bread muffins and even took sum home. O will be coming back for more
The meat was just delicious. And the clerk, a nice guy with nice hair, was very kind. It was delicious like nothing I've ever had in Japan. America is the best!

Ordered salmon and it was raw. Not once but twice. Didnt eat after all. Super disappointed
