If you buy the whole
Roast duck , do not have them cut it. They baited and switched with other leftover parts (necks, bones and etc). I made a mistake not watching them cut it!
Very disappointed with how dishonest they were. You can see they sell the desirable meats like drumsticks and breast meats with rice combo for $15-18! I paid $35 for a whole duck and came home with necks and bones!

The service was incredibly bad! The guy was so rude. I asked for sauce for dim sum dish that comes with special sauce, he ignored me twice and at the end gave me a plain soy sauce. His tone of voice was so impatient as well. Also the duck had lots of hair.

Personally, I think the portion is generous and the taste is not bad either.

We come here all the time. The gentlement chef was very nice and friendly, and we knew that they close at 8 Pm everyday. Today they trashed everything at 7:30. We being ignored for few minutes until the lady server told us they closed at 7 Pm because they needed to clean up. They supposed to close at 8 PM not 7 PM. She just keep saying they closed at 7 Pm without any detail explanation. This is very unclear, so I am not sure if I should come back anymore.

I thought it was delicious and wanted to leave a review. I was a little shocked when I saw the previous reviews, but I ate it two or three times and there was no problem. The food is also delicious.

Hot Deli is part of the 99 Ranch food court.Parking is no trouble. The food court never gets full unlike Hmart. Take from that what you will. The food at Hot Deli is just ok. It's the kind of food you buy when you're too tired to cook for the fam. It reminds me of cafeteria food back home. Quick, tasty, filling, and affordable. Would you serve it to guests? Probably not. There is massive room for improvement. Many of the dishes, while authentic in taste, are excessively greasy, even for chinese food. Their fried rice is far too oily that I have to mix it with steamed rice to make it edible. The youtiao, or chinese cruller (which I love) is sometimes dripping with oil. Tip: it's better to get youtiao in the morning (obvi). It'll still be greasy, but at least they're fresh. If you get youtiao later in the day, they'll both be greasy AND stale. They're really great dunked in steaming hot soymilk. The dimsum is mostly ok, but beware the har-gow (shrimp dumpling). On a good day, the wrapper is far too thick. On a bad day, they'll give you dried out har-gow, hard enough to chip teeth. Also, what's up with the staff? The only consistently nice person is the older chinese lady with short silver hair. The others have RBF, which wouldn't be so bad, but then they're rude too. On the upside, they're knowledgeable about the menu and efficient about getting orders ready.Yesterday, they had new (to me) staff, both caucasian. They were friendlier but they need more training. One doesn't know how to scoop congee up from the bottom of the pot so that the customer gets some of the pork and egg that sinks to the bottom. The other doesn't know which dishes are spicy. She also got visibly irked when, while she was prepping my order, I pointed out that one of the to-go containers containing my food had tipped over. She gave me a look and said she wasn't done with my order. Lady, I was only trying to be helpful, and also, tipped-over containers wait for no one!

If you want to bought some Roasted Duck, do NOT tell them to cut, keep it whole, so they won't take out and replace with different parts.

The old man owner here really rude, he is impatient, doesn’t care about customers, he let three people who behind us order first after 20 minutes wait right in front of him. Never come back for this stupid place.
