Kneaders Bakery & Cafe

We don’t get gloomy days often here but when we do, you cannot beat a grilled cheese and tomato soup from Kneaders 🤩 the bread was perfect chewy on the inside and grilled crisp on the outside. The cheese was plentiful and fully melted. The soup was warm and perfect consistency and not over salted. I am so happy 😁

Wow! We will definitely be back next time we are in Phoenix area. Superior service in the drive thru, great prices, and exceptional flavors and bread textures. You can always tell a good bakery by flavorful bread and freshness; this one does not disappoint. Cherry chocolate bread, sourdough loaf, Asiago bread, sandwiches, house-made chips, sandwiches, and éclair were all fantastic. Not knocking the local chain bakery because P@ner@ has its place, but this place was better in every way. I look forward to trying their soup next time.

7:18pm, they are supposed to close at 9:30p, but the girl is mopping the floor and you can’t even get in the front door. I think she has headphones on, because I asked if they were open and she just turned away even though she looked at me standing there with the door open. If that’s the customer service imagine how the food is made? I turned around and left.

Kneaders has a great menu but unfortunately their service is dismal. Ordered at the drive thru and although I was the only person in line it took a very long time. The salad I was given was not what I ordered so I asked for the correct one. I finally received the correct salad and drove away but was not given any utensils, napkins, etc. I parked and walked in to get some but there were none and by that time the inside line was unreasonable, all just to get eating utensils! I wish this was the first time I had had this experience but it is all too common at this location. It has really gone downhill since it opened years back.

My wife's Tuna melt with Hazelnut 12 grain bread in her opinion was excellent. My Club sandwich also excellent. I would recommend this place.
