Great food and games. Charles was great in helping us pick out games. The restaurant was amazing, the service was exceptional, I would highly recommend it
Love's this place. We are not big gamers, but had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This included the manager recommending a few games and taking time to explain how to play it, then stopping by a few times to check on us.
Additionally, the food was really good, which was not expected.
Love this place!! Im so happy there is one in Arizona now :) The food was yummy and the game selection is amazing! I went with my best friend who is very introverted enjoyed the environment nothing was overwhelming. Highly recommend going either as an individual (you'd have no problem making friends) or as a group! 10/10 place
Great environment. Great staff. Great food and games
Great place to chill with friends eat and play some games. Staff are really nice and very helpful when picking games and explaining them.
Best board game cafe I ever been too. It's super clean and the staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Our party of 8 had so much fun.
We were excited to visit with the family. We decided to do lunch and that was a mistake 3 of us are still paying for. The prices were astronomical. 4 people, $130 for a tiny appetizer and food that was suspect at best. The shrimp was 3 or 4 days past its "best by" date. There were bits of hard pieces in the short rib. The burgers and chicken sandwich were small and flavorless for almost $20 each. Thankful that we didn't get beers. We explained the issue and they removed the shrimp Caesar from the bill. The rest of us paid with mild food poisoning. The gaming prices were a bit over market and the RPG section was wanting. We get it, you make your margin on Warhammer, MtG, and liquor sales. This, however, is Arizona and not Portland. Give us solid food choices for a good price and make it more friendly like a game store should be. This is a flop for real gamers.
Absolutely loved this place! Good food and drinks. Hopefully they get Pokémon games going soon to add to their tournaments!
Also please bring back the mango foxtrot cider to you drinks menu!
Pros: If you’re a board game fan, you know it can be hard to find “game stores” that aren’t TCG or TTWG focused. Mox is the opposite. A fantastic, wide selection of board games. Very clean, fair prices, and helpful staff.
Cons: Gamer’s Guild in Tempe has better prices and has much more play-space.
TL;DR: Mox is a great to buy board games. There are better stores in the valley to play said games.
One of the best experiences I have ever had there. Amazing staff!!

This is a new favorite date night place! The food is delicious. The drinks are yummy! Especially the chai cider! It’s also so much fun! They have a game library you can borrow from while there. We played 2 different games and even chose to buy one of them! We spent 2 hours there easily and could’ve spent more time if it wasn’t a work day. Bonus points: staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the games. Their recommendations were awesome! Absolutely recommend this place as somewhere casual to hang out and grab something to eat!
Truly a great game bar experience! Our server Chris was super friendly and attentive, and knew the menu super well. I have a gluten sensitivity and I was easily able to find tasty things to eat and drink. They even have my favorite gluten free beer, the Buckwit Belgian from Holidaily. Loved the atmosphere in the whole space.
Total coincidence but I really enjoyed the 90s rock playing the whole night my group was here!
The retail section is huge and very well kept. Highly recommend and while I have nothing bad to say about other game bars I've been to, this one is definitely my preference.
Great game store, the restaurant is lacking. We had a great time getting dinner and was so fun to play a game at the table. The menu is extremely limited single-sided page (pictured), the kids menu was the same. Several apps and just a couple entrees. Food wasn’t bad, wasn’t great either. Had one kid who chose not to eat, the other liked their chicken strips, but the ranch was pickle flavored.
The listing shows this as a game store which is more accurate. The game store is great, such a huge selection and even some popular toys. We will definitely be back to grab a game, probably won’t eat there again, at least not with the kids. I’d give the restaurant food a 3, the game experience a 5. I just went there to eat so rating my dining experience.
Pretty solid for a pub experience. Certainly appreciate the ability to borrow board games temporarily.
Food was good, fairly priced. Big dining room, even private rooms. Lots of board game options to buy, and even test play while there! War room was ok, 4 tables. Tournament room was good sized too. Lots of accessories to pick up too! I've been a fan of Mox since I lived in the Seattle area, so i am STOKED there is one near me again!
