Unfortunately my party of 5 found it to be a bad experience due to understaffing or overcrowding on a Tuesday evening at 5:09. We arrived and found a table inside that could accommodate 5 of us but the table was not cleared. No one acknowledged us standing the table (it was seat yourself) until 5:20pm. But the acknowledgement was only that “someone will be over soon”. At 5:30 I bussed the table myself and a kind employee acknowledged that I shouldn’t have to do that. At 5:45 I asked a passing server if the kitchen was as backed up as the front of the house and she informed me it was indeed backed up. Asked because we were willing to continue to wait for the meals as long as could get started with drinks. By 5:50 we still hadn’t seen a server or had anyone check with us, etc. We left at 6pm to find service and food elsewhere. I did return to Murphys after our meal at the other restaurant and was able to buy a pint of the chocolate whisky dessert to take home.
I’ve been to MLIP once before many years ago and while it was very crowded, we received service and had a great meal.
This visit was different and it didn’t work out for us.
Be aware that it can be very crowded and may be understaffed at times.

First time in order a drink and gave my ID, I’m 24 years old and I had on prescription glasses and was asked to take off my glasses and I did and shook my head and was kicked out by the guy with a hat and beard thank you please don’t go there and tip that man. racist and unfriendly bar service. Walking into a bar being a brown person and getting kicked out within the 30 seconds of showing my ID makes me think that this establishment is only catered to certain individuals . -1000 aura points to the guy who works Tuesday night shift and working to push customers out the bar in a unfriendly way please fire this employee for I was not a problem.thank you I hope management can hear my concerns and voice their opinion on the situation based off the customers standpoint thank you.

Do not go here if you are Black/African-American. You will not get served. You will not get served by a brunette guy with a ponytail/man bun and a brunette female behind the bar (Sunday, Jan 18, 2026, around 1:30). I went here to meet up with a good friend who isn't of color and saw that she had been served (at the bar). However, I waited about 30 minutes, talking with my friend and making eye contact with both bartenders, but still didn't get service after so long, so we left. I didn't have the opportunity to spend money because neither one of them acted like they wanted it. This is the second time (the first was 10/25/25) this has happened with the same friend. This is not a fluke. My friend, having witnessed this twice, agreed that we should not come back and that she doesn't blame me for leaving.

Disappointed! Their French Dip was excellent. Onion rings were pathetic. Potato salad pretty tasteless. The shepherds pie left a lot to be desired! The bread crust was tough and way too much cheese. Other than that it was just OK! Way too loud for conversation. Service was pretty slow and not very fiendly. I don't think we'll be going for a return visit

Super disappointing to come here with a 21 year old for her birthday drink, only to be told she has to be 21 for 48 hours before they will serve her… never heard of that policy. On a Monday night when it’s dead and she has her family wanting to celebrate. Not a group of loud young adults, just parents. Would have loved to give business here, but was turned away.
