The food here was good; but the low lighting made it hard to view the menus, and many in our party turned to Recreo's website for a more complete menu. The service was a bit slow and the server seemed to forget one of the meals for the people in our party. The vibe of the place was cool enough, but I miss the days when this place used to be a different restaurant called El Zocalo Mexican Grille. I was there for opening night of El Zocalo and enjoyed the upscale ambience back then. Now its a more casual dinner spot with a vibe trying to appeal to Hipsters (maybe?)
Parking: There are spots near the restaurant, but these spots usually fill up quickly, even on a Monday night. There is free street parking along S Arizona Ave (State Route 87) and also a few free parking garages, but not "ample" parking really close. There's a bit of a walk if you can't find a space near the restaurant or on Arizona Ave.

I have visited this place several times. It is a hidden gem. Their patio is awesome and open. They have a good selection of cocktails. I love their Mexican candy margarita. (Just tell them to go light on the sweetness. It's the right amount of spice and sweet) I think it would be better if there were more people. It's been empty with just 10 other patrons when I've been there. If in downtown Chandler, check it out

I came in here one day with my family, the food was okay and our server was excellent. However nearing the end of our meal, an older brunette woman with glasses who looked to be a manager was swearing up a storm! My wife was upset and my children should not be subjected to such language! Will never come back here.
