The food here was good; but the low lighting made it hard to view the menus, and many in our party turned to Recreo's website for a more complete menu. The service was a bit slow and the server seemed to forget one of the meals for the people in our party. The vibe of the place was cool enough, but I miss the days when this place used to be a different restaurant called El Zocalo Mexican Grille. I was there for opening night of El Zocalo and enjoyed the upscale ambience back...
Underrated spot. Had the birria tacos and carne asada nachos and they were phenomenal. The back patio area is a beautiful oasis for the area. Laid back vibe with excellent food and great service. Will definitely be back.
