Shu Sushi Ramen & Grill

Used to be a great place to go. Walked in and very inappropriate music was playing and there were families eating. If you make the poor decision to eat here leave the kids at home! We asked the waitress a question which she didn't answer. Then when she did answer a question about a different entree the meal did not come with some of the items she said it came with. When we questioned it she just smiled, laughed and said oh, sorry. The restaurant was hot and stuffy. And if you want a refill you're pretty much out of luck. We used to be regulars, but we will not be returning. To be fair the rest of the food was pretty good, but since it didn't come to us as it was explained we would have all ordered something different. Overall pretty much the worst dinning experience we've had in quite some time. Their were only about 15 people in the restaurant and the service was horrid. When the people at the next table complained about their food the waitress at that table just laughed as she said sorry. Apparently they think their inadequacies are humorous.

I really don't like leaving a bad review on this restaurant because we really liked their ramen. But we had a really strange experience. We have gone twice, and the first time it took far too long to get our drinks taken, and orders taken. The host sat us down and asked what drinks we wanted but then never brought them, so another waitress had to come up and ask if we had been serviced yet. She took our drinks and food orders, but the food took forever to come. We figured it was probably just a busy night, and decided to give it another try.
The second time we came, it was a Monday night. Not really busy. This time we were sat and had our drinks brought very quickly, but again we had to wait too long to place and receive our food. Here is where it got weird:
The entire time we were there, some young boys were sitting right next to us with a friend on facetime. The waitress took their order and the guy on facetime made comments about her right after she left, but she definitely heard. It wasn't quiet. The volume was all the way up. And that's not really the restaurants fault for not asking them to turn the volume down for other guests, but it was frustrating for us. Then we saw our waiter drinking. On the job. Which made me wonder if the reason we waited soo long for our food was because he was drinking beer with his buddies? Definitely not a good look. Finally, both me and my partner got several mosquito bites. We were indoors. And I haven't gotten any bites outdoors recently, so now I am wondering if there was standing water breeding mosquitos somewhere in the store? Just really weird and not a good experience which sucks because the ramen and sushi were tasty.

I love the food and service, but the blaring music has got to go. What makes the owners think that everyone likes to hear loud Latin music when they're eating sushi?

Friendly staff and yummy sushi. $6 rolls on weekdays. $6 Las vegas roll is worth the repeat. Our favorite is the citrus salmon roll and we really like the yuzu octopus (though a little expensive for the size of the serving). The smoked salmon nigiri was too heavy on the smoked flavor in my opinion. Been twice and will be going again 😊

We always come here for some Ramen and good sushi! Service is always great the atmosphere is great. We tried the baby octopus as an appetizer delicious. The food portion is perfect. Definitely recommend the Ramen and dynamite sushi even the kids bento is great.

Food was fantastic and the service was great! There are many good food options.

I will be coming here more often!

This place hits every time I go 😋 they have delicious fried baby octopus 🤤 I also love to have my sushi made with the purple rice. The Korean short ribs are like no other. Of course their salad is divine, orange ginger dressing 👌🏽This place never disappoints. And the waitress ☀️ Sun is welcoming. My mom and I love coming here and I will continue to.

We ordered a variety of dishes. The sushi was okay, although I asked for no spicy mayo on top and it was covered with mayo. The cucumber salad wasn't fresh and had an odd after taste. The short-ribs were especially fatty, greasy and not to my liking. I've had much better quality short-ribs. And the chicken curry was just this dark brown sauce with a few pieces of chicken. We ended up throwing out a lot of this food, very disappointed.

Great place! Been going here for a while now and the food is great, service is great, and it’s never too busy!
