This one-star review has absolutely nothing to do with the workers here - the baristas are genuinely amazing. I always make a point to tip them extra every month because they deserve it. They’re friendly, they work hard, and they always do their best to help.
This review is strictly about management’s policies.
Every time I come through, I order lighter ice with a couple extra shots so the espresso doesn’t get watered down. The drive-thru baristas are always polite, but they consistently tell me they “can’t do light ice anymore” because of a management rule. I always explain that I’m paying for the extra shots and that this is literally a money vs no money scenario - basic business logic. They agree, but they say it’s a decision coming from their manager.
What confuses me is that this location is part of a franchise, not an owner-operated shop, and every other Starbucks nearby has no problem at all giving light ice. That inconsistency makes no sense.
My concern isn’t with the staff - it’s with leadership. When strict or confusing policies get enforced for no clear reason, it teaches the wrong lessons. A manager should be showing their team how to run a smooth, customer-focused business, not making it harder for them to give good service.
The baristas are great. The management needs serious evaluation and improvement.

Stopped by to pick up my mobile order and it was ready very quickly. I was greeted right away and they confirmed my order was being made which was really appreciated. Multiple staff members said hello and wished me well as I left.

This is the worst run Starbucks in the valley. I order a couple mobile orders every single day, nearly every Starbucks is flawless and fast, your order is ready within a few minutes of ordering. This location is NOT that. Their large manager is friendly, always saying hello but that’s the extent of his skills. He’s literally always chatting with a couple of his associates distracting them from doing their jobs while other employees race to pick up the slack. If he’s not chatting with his staff off to the side, he’s standing around doing nothing. One time I sat for 15 minutes waiting for my drink while three employees worked feverishly to fill drink orders. This manager stood around with two employees chatting the entire time. I have never not waited for my mobile order at this location.
The manager needs to do his job or be removed from this location
