Slow service

1 star for Starbucks inside Safeway. Absolutely ridiculous what this place has turned into. They cut all the regular employees’ hours and brought in a bunch of new people who clearly aren’t trained.
I used to come here 2 to 3 times a day since it’s right across the street from my house. The first bad experience happened last month, and I let it slide since that employee is no longer here.
But today was even worse. The guy working wouldn’t even look at me and was barely audible, like he was whispering the whole time. Then he couldn’t figure out how to add espresso shots to my drink. Something that should be basic.
After that, I asked for a bag of ice. The code was literally on his register, and I pointed it out to him three times, but he just ignored it. Then he asks me how much ice costs like he’s just going to guess and punch in a number. Finally says “hold on” and walks away to go grab it.
At that point, my patience was gone and I had to walk out. This place used to be reliable, but now it’s just frustrating and unprofessional.

August 1st 2024 2:00pm I go in and ask for caramel CRUNCH frappe with extra crunch, I wait 10 minutes for a drink and it says “java chips” so I go in and ask for it to be remade and it takes another 10 minutes and i over hear someone say “I guess he didn’t want the java chips” like bruh I didn’t even order the java chips I ordered the extra crunch that comes on the caramel crunch frappe like what’s so hard to understand and on top of that they had no venti straws, I guess they don’t know how to restock

I decided to walk to Starbucks inside the Safeway, about a half mile from my house, instead of driving. It was 6:30 in the morning, and Starbucks was out of everything. I tried to order two different types of coffee. She said they were out, including no whipped cream. How are you out of things at 6:30 in the morning when most people get coffee at this time? unacceptable

Starbucks usually offers a comforting environment, but my recent visit to this branch was a far cry from the norm. The atmosphere was not the familiar friendly one I’ve come to expect, but rather quite unwelcoming, which came as a significant disappointment.I hate to single out individuals, but the service provided by the trio of girls working there on that day (7/2/23 9:20am)was particularly egregious. Their demeanor was so unpleasant and unfriendly that it stood out as some of the worst staff behavior I’ve ever encountered at a Starbucks. Their lack of courtesy significantly marred my coffee shop experience.I sincerely hope that this was just an off day and that there will be notable improvements in the service the next time around.

I came here for the past 3 years and it was great and convenient go grab coffee but then service and the team changed. Some of the laziest workers I have seen. The employees working here have no smiles and they greet you like you are a problem for coming. Not to mention as soon as you order and they are out of stuff, they interrupt you immediately and say "we're out". Makes you not want to come because you are bothering them. They move so slow as well, on purpose. Management should learn a thing or two. And trust me, I've worked as a batista before.
