One of Our Go-To Vegan Pizza Spots in the Valley
We’re a vegan family of five in the Phoenix area, and Venezia’s New York Style Pizzeria is one of our top pizza picks for dinner or date night spots in PHX.
This time, we did takeout from the Chandler location, but we’ve also dined in for lunch and dinner and we’ve visited the Tempe location as well.
The Chandler spot is in a small, tucked-away plaza right across from the Drury Hotel, near a couple of other little businesses.
There’s a good amount of parking, both indoor and outdoor seating, and they even have high chairs, very family-friendly.
The patio is a nice touch if you want to enjoy your pizza outside.
The Tempe location has the same great food and service, but it’s in a University building and parking can be a bit trickier there.
Once you find your spot, though, the experience is just as good timely, friendly, and accommodating staff every time.
We love that they have a dedicated vegan/dairy-free menu, it’s not something you see everywhere.
Our go-to is the Veggie Delight on a party-size thin crust, cut into squares, with vegan sausage, vegan pepperoni, black olives, mushrooms, and green peppers l, all topped with vegan cheese.
The vegan sausage is crumbled and has a little bit of spice, which we enjoy, but if spice isn’t your thing, you might want to do half-and-half or stick to the cheese and veggie toppings.
They also do a New York-style thick crust, and honestly, of all the places we’ve tried, they nail the New York flavor and texture better than most in the Valley.
Once again, here’s what we love most:
We almost always get a large order the partysize pizza is around $60 with and feeds a lot of people (the extra-large is a little if you don’t need quite as much).
We’ll freeze the leftovers for quick meals later in the week.
The vegan baked ziti (that cheesy pasta dish in the little metal pan) is also delicious, and the vegan cheesy breadsticks are another must-try.
We haven’t had the vegan and gluten-free cookies yet, but it’s a huge plus that they even have them along with vegan and gluten-free pizza options.
Venezia’s offers pickup, delivery, and dine-in.
We’ve never done delivery ourselves, but we know different services have different fees, so it’s worth checking before you order.
If you come in the evening or even at lunch, expect a short wait for the food if you order larger pizzas but they’ll let you know the timing, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful.
They serve Pepsi products, plus an in-house 32-ounce lemonade that’s actually really good. The menu is flexible with size options, 12”, 14”, 16”, and 24” pizzas so you can order for just yourself or for a crowd.
If you’re a vegan in the Valley (or just want good New York-style pizza), it’s worth stopping by.
No website, but you can call in and place your order for pickup.
And if you’re like us and want extra flavor, get a little side of sauce for dipping, makes it even better. God bless this spot

Top Notch. I had door dash bring me some wings. They were crispy, just the right temperature, and so delicious that I couldn't stop eating them until they were all gone. The Management gets the blue ribbon for service and excellence. I know many restaurants still use Styrofoam for take out. Some restaurants don't care about the health and safety of the customer. Venezia's care's!! What they did, I did not ask for. They lined the entire Styrofoam take out container with aluminum foil, so that the hot food would not melt the Styrofoam and create toxic food. Because they just do this and not because it was requested lets me know that what they do, they do with care, excellence, and integrity. First impressions go a long way, and I'm a fat guy who loves wings! Venezia's has gained a customer for life. Thank you!

We had a great time. atmosphere was delightful.
I've been looking for hot wings since I moved to maricopa with no success.
Finally, something that was very tasteful. The lemon pepper has really good flavor, and the regular hot wings were good as well.

two out of three pickup orders have had issues and the staff is definitely not trained to “make it right”. The first issue they kind of begrudgingly sent me off with a free drink (just a cup) after waiting in the lobby for 30m past the scheduled pick up time. Most recently I got home with my food and there was no ranch. I paid for ranch. Drove all the way back to the store and I can tell the teenage girl feels bad about the miss. It happens, but I would have left the store a much happier customer if they took charge of the mistake and offered literally anything to help me feel like driving back to the store while my pizza gets cold at home was worth it. I shouldn’t have to ask for anything extra or cause some kind of scene.
Obviously the pizza is good or I probably wouldn’t order here again

Great pizza, one of my go tos. I haven’t eaten inside much but it’s a nice atmosphere and upscale. Prices are a bit increased but get used to it cheapskates. They do deliver, don’t think there is a minimum, but no matter the cost there is a deliver fee of about 5$

It took about an hour to get my order. After waiting 25 minutes the pizza came out but nothing else. When asked how much longer it would be they shrugged and said they had no idea so I asked for a manager who was just as dismissive. I explained that I'd been waiting close to an hour for my food and this was unacceptable. I was told that I could always cancel my order and that they were busy, which was a lie as I saw people walk in, order, and then get their order before me. No apology, no effort at customer service, just lies. So I got a cold pizza and hot wings. And this is not a one-off, I've had this issue at other locations. What a horrible way to run a business. Never patronizing this chain ever again and will be sure to spread the word far and wide.

Good food and great (talkative) service. I will always remember my conversation w/the girl at the counter. She told me all about the tattoos she wants to get, why she doesn't have any and about her dogs. It was quite amusing and refreshing.
The food was, off. I've never eaten there, but where there should have been a lot of taste, there wasn't and where it should be mild, it was INTENSE! The girl at the hotel I was staying at recommended y'all, and if I'm ever in Chandler again, I'll try it again, but I just won't go out of my way.

Venetzia’s is good overall however this location isn’t as good as the others. I am not sure why that is as I am sure they all use the same ingredients and suppliers but the food here is very hit and miss. At first I thought I was crazy but my brother who is a BIG Venetzia’s fan said the same thing to me one day randomly. Then a co-worker told me she always drives further to get food from another location because she doesn’t like this one. So now I am know I am not crazy. I will say this location has some of the absolute friendliest delivery drivers that I have ever encountered. They have all be so nice! Have I had good food from this location… yes, but I have also had more disappointing food from here. I guess it’s like some fast food locations being better than others even though they all use the same exact product. I still order from here quite frequently so that at least says something. Another thing is that delivery time is ALWAYS 1+ hours out no matter the time or day you order which is strange.

Great food, good service, can be slow here and there when busy. Would give 5 stars across the board if they had a couple more wing flavors and spice levels.

We were a party of four ordering pizza. The kiosk ordering system is a joke. Stand in line to access the kiosk to place order, then stand in the long regular line to get a table number. The place was a pig sty. ALL the empty table were a mess. The floor was disgusting. We completed our order, cleaned the table we wanted to occupy and placed our number on the table. 30 minutes later they call our table number to give us half of our order. Waited another 15 minutes until we decided to go up to the same chippy employee to asked about the remaining order. She went over retrieved our pizzas that are now cold. Question: Why do you make customers stand in an additional line to get a number to place on the table if your not going to bring it out to the table? The pizza was decent, but not worth the terrible customer service and lack of cleanliness. Also, we never got the two cookies we ordered. Will not be returning to this restaurant 😒
