I love beans and brews in st George but this location is on another planet. Or at least the girl that I dealt with.
I asked for a toasted Asiago bagel with cream cheese and got a toasted sandwich bun instead. When I asked what it was she told me it was a bagel. I asked her 3 times if she was sure and she looked at me and asked if I had ever seen a bagel before! I was on a short deadline to kanab and didn't have time to talk to someone else. But as you see in the picture it's not a bagel. This girl needs some training and an attitude adjustment.

I was finishing up on a week hike through the narrows and northern rim of the Grand Canyon. I was craving a great cup of coffee, along with some great small town service. l’m a big fan of Beans and Brew and was delighted to see this location on my drive through town. Layla’s personality and customer service skills were impeccable and memory making. Great latte, expertly made and a great overall experience. Well done Layla. Thank you.

I waited for 15 min for cafe latte and I really needed to leave already, so in the end I couldn’t get the latte. I paid for nothing.
This was my first stop in town and a great way to have a break from hiking. The crew working today was super friendly and we had a great chat. They have quite a good selection of breakfast items (the ham, cheese and egg croissant sandwich was exactly what I needed) and I had a regular coffee (quite good and not overpriced). Definitely worth pulling off the highway if you want good coffee (or walking into town as I did).

I love the iced lattes here, I usually get an Iced Vanilla Latte with Oatmilk. The staff is really friendly and they make the drinks super quick! It’s tasty and convenient! Unfortunately they only take Cash or Card. No Apple Pay/

It took 35+ minutes and none of the drinks had sweetener. By the time they finished most the cold drinks were lukewarm.

Crooked Marla!!! To anyone looking to use the liquor store at Bee's Marketplace, the department head Marla keeps all of the hard to find rare bourbon bottles hidden in the back. You have to know they have them and request the bottle by name, and even when you do, you can't obtain any of these bottles unless she personally grants you permission to purchase one. Its crazy to me how Marla can abuse her position and play gatekeeper and the expense of the Bees Marketplace profits. Let me explain. How does Martha decide who is eligible for which bottles? Is she holding them back for personal friends and family?? Is she getting financial kickbacks from customers willing to compensate her for access to these bottles?? There is no way I personally can know. What I DO KNOW is that I am not sure how a business like Bees Marketplace can allow her to play gatekeeper for her own personal benefits at the expense of their own personal profits. Let me explain further. I am new to the area but fell in love with the selection the liquor store has in bourbons. I discovered the place while moving up to St. George from Texas. Once a week I drive an hour down from St. George so I can check out the large selection. In the process, I bring my wife down because they have (as crazy as it sounds) milk options that we dont get at other places. In the process, while I am looking at treating myself to higher end bourbons to collect and share, she does the grocery shopping. On the Liquor store side, I tend to spend anywhere from $80 to $150 + a week. On the grocery side, my wife spends on average $200-$300 a week. Monthly that equates to around $1600+ a month give or take. However, if I drive an hour down to Colorado City to purchase a bottle in which I KNOW They have, and for her own personal reasons, Marla doesnt feel like my money is good enough, I am no longer going to make that trip. I am just curious if the Bees Marketplace owner and management are aware that her personal endeavors can and will be costing them $1600+ a month in revenue from me alone. How do I know they have the bottles you ask?? In the process of making these trips I have built relationships with other employees in the department. I share the history of bourbon and my passion for it more than I probably should and I have talked his ear off. A young kid by the name of Jon is always super accommodating and listens to me even when I think he is starting to get bored with my conversation. The one thing about Jon is, he makes me feel valued and important. If there is something Im looking for that is not there, he makes suggestions for things he's heard despite not being much of a drinker himself. After getting to know Jon I mentioned that if he ever saw any Weller bottles come through with a different color than the green label, to shoot me a text because I have been looking for them, they are difficult to find and I would like to probably buy a couple. Weeks went by and I was not really expecting any texts because they dont come out very often. There are limited runs. Then Yesterday I got a text saying "Hey, if these are the ones you are talking about, we got a few in" and he sent me a couple photos so that I knew which ones they had. Me being excited because there were 2 bottles ive never seen or owned before, I took the 1 hour drive down there. Once I got there, Jon told me he still had to run it by Marla to see if I could buy one. What Marla does is she forces her employees to call or notify her of anyone requesting any rare bottles in which you must provide their full name and then she decides which bottles she is willing to allow you to purchase. Jon went to her and asked permission to sell me a Weller CYPB bottle and she declined. I also asked if I could then buy a Weller Single Barrel or a Stagg bottle and Jon told me that she said none of those were an option for me. I wasnt allowed to buy them. Being friendly and reluctant, Jon offered me some other bottles as a consolation but they are ones
