The new owner is a putz! Dont come out and argue with your customers over food that wasnt satisfactory. Our server said that they weren't equipped to have more than 25 patrons at a time. Brought us 3 pitchers of beer and they only had 4 clean glasses. We had to share glasses. Sooooo much wrong with this place now. It's a damn shame.

The waitress was very nice. The food service was ridiculous. Appetizers came out with the food, which came out randomly to us. I ordered a rueben, and it came out on Texas toast. A RUEBEN IS SERVED ON RYE!!!! The meat was funny, looking with shiny looking scales on it. I sent it back, and the owner or new management came out and tried to argue that it was rye bread! It is absolutely rude to act like that with a customer. I was with 14 people and you lost all of us as customers.

Expecting to see the so-called "legendary" Gallopin' Goose Saloon, we instead found a dingy neighborhood bar with little sign of Waylon Jennings who made it famous, nor any evidence of the Bar Rescue make-over by John Taffer. The French dip sandwich and au jus both had zero flavor, the chili is shipped in, the wait staff couldn't answer basic menu questions and seemed to just be doing time. No energy, no effort to maintain the legend, no pride. What a disappointment.

We stopped for lunch on a Saturday. It was fairly busy but there were several tables available and we got seated right away. It took about 20 minutes to get waited on and another 15 to get drinks. It was well over an hour before we got any food. The onion rings were cold but they did replace them right away with warm ones. The food was actually quite good and the atmosphere was pretty cool. The only thing that made it a less than desirable experience was the excessive wait. Especially because we were pretty hungry.

The atmosphere is great. Waylon Jennings got his solo career started here. If you find the stage you are in Waylon’s Room. There is a massive patio outside of the room with the stage. Lots of tables. The food is pretty good. They do have a rodeo ring out back for all the ropin’ fans out there. I have never had a bad time here.

They double dipped on their tip, I gave them more than 20%, they took out more than half of what the bill was for a tip. Very disappointed. Not sure I will go back, if I do, it will be paid with cash.
