Food was terrific. Filet barely needed a knife. The vegetables tasted like they were picked yesterday. Service was good and someone who worked there played the piano randomly it was perfect

Father's Day Dinner night. We've passed by this place several times between Cornville and LoLo Mei Campground. Always seems busy, that being said, reservations are recommended. We split the Elk and squash plate. OMGosh delicious - I mean off the chain flavor and tenderness. We didn't have reservation, so we sat at the bar. Our server was Chris but Mario was our wine guy. We actually struck up some conversations with a couple of women from Denver and New Jersey that had been told to try Up the Creek during their travels elsewhere. If you ever meet Lorri and I in person, you'll figure out pretty quick we enjoy meeting new folks and loving on them as bothers and sisters in Christ. We had a great time talking with Mario about the history and how he came to be part Owner. Even learned that Chris had just started working here. We finished the night with pistachio creme brule'. Excellent again. Home run guys. Thank you.

Great lunch! Amazing wine list for a rustic, rural eatery. Wonderful wines by the glass! Food was well prepared and tasty. Hummingbirds outside the window were an entertaining plus.

This place was good and the service was great. People in Sedona are just really nice, and we went to this restaurant after completing a few wineries' tastings. The mac and cheese was very good and so was the burata. The food was on the heavier side with garlic, but the taste was good. We got to see hummingbirds as we ate through the windows.

This was such an unexpected find that we came across. So glad that we did! Food was exceptional and unique, service was above and beyond, and the historic building was such a neat thing to see. We will definitely be back in the future, even if it means driving out of our way to eat here!

A special location overlooking a creek. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich last time and tried a burger most recently. I do not know why, but getting a burger cooked as requested is difficult.

Quaint location, with a beautiful view of Oak Creek. Our service was slow and meals took a very long time to come out. The burgers were great. The grilled chicken was bland.

Traveled to Cottonwood for a Day-cation. . So being new to the area we googled and found this gem. First of all I want to thank Mario the owner for seating my date and I without a Reservation. They were packed. He made room for us. We sat at the bar end and were just happy to be there. Then “CD” introduced herself and recommended an aged 12 ounce that was their special. I ordered that and at medium rare. “ CD” told me the Chef recommended it that way. My date got the Salmon and Polenta.(Amazing!) . Let me tell you , This place tied if not beat -as the best steak I have ever had! No joke. The saffron mash potatoes were out of this world. Compliments to the Chef whom we got to meet. Both CD and Mario recommended the wine. Perfect! ! It was by far the most inviting place I have ever been . Great energy , good times. Thank you. I highly recommend. P.S. Mario and CD we’ll be back and Look forward to it. Take care guys.

I just went in for an after drink...Port. the owner from Spain said he only had a white Port. I said fine. 5 min later a waiter came by asking for a specific Port request from a table. Owner said he had white but waiter knew they had the specific Port (located in back) the guests were requesting. Waiter retrieved it and served it to his table. Owner acted like he didn't know about it. Owner was more concerned about washing the dirty wine glasses than waiting on his guests. The bar had dirty glasses on it from previous guests, and a empty wine ebox. You think once I arrived he would gave cleared that off. But no, it was still there when I left. There was a couple at the bar ready to go back to their hotel and asked him if he could call one for them. He had no idea how to call a Uber or Taxi. What kind of Restaurant is this? They couldn't call one themselves because this restaurant doesn't have WIFI. He finally broke down and gave them his landline phone to call a cab or Uber. How big of him. This guy clearly is not into customer service. People abviously annoy him. He has no business working with the public. You might want to think twice about going here because it's not cheap. If you're going to spend that much, don't you think you deserve to be treated better?
