We were visiting Sedona, Cottonwood, and Jerome from Tucson. Stopped by for some local beer. The bartender made great recommendations for our flights, each beer was delicious but the Nutcracker was our absolute favorite. While we were there, we mentioned that we were heading to Jerome next.
The staff here suggested we hit up their sister location, Bobby D's BBQ in Jerome and it was amazing!
Overall the staff were super friendly and the beer was impressive. We didn't get food, but I'm sure that is great too!
Definitely don't miss this gem in Cottonwood

We have been here twice before and been satisfied with our service and food in 2024 and 2025. But belfry was a major loser last night in every way. First, its important to note, Nick's was closed. Thats where we originally intended to go and likely, so had some of the other patrons, as there were more diners on a mid week night than we had seen on any prior visit. That said, we walked in and they told us it would be a 15 min wait though there were several booths open. They were clearly understaffed. Overall, I counted 3 people working the entire restaurant and maybe the cook in back unless one of the 3 was doing double duty. So four people working the whole operation of bar, over 12 tables and making food.
That said our waitress was nice, but we had to ask for refills, ketchup came 7 or so minutes after the onion rings, and our food took 30 minutes to arrive after the appetizer. The terrible part was the food and the wait. We have kids, waiting for food forever is agony, it was getting very late and the food was disappointing. My daughter was given grilled salmon instead of the grilled cheese sandwich, so she needed her order fixed and out came a velveeta cheese sandwich...certainly not a value of 8 bucks with some orange slices to make up the remaining fruit. My son's burger patty was a triangle that didnt reach the edges in length or width of his bun and was charred crispy. My food was overcooked as well, I got the chicken fresca sizzler thing and it was not only very bizarre in flavor, overcooked, clearly had been waiting for a while, but it kept me up at night with this awful heavy, I may vomit feeling. It must have had so much vegetable oil in it. The chicken was so dry I couldnt eat the last bit and weirdly when I picked it up to put in the to go box for our dog, it was cut in half already like sandwich bread would be. My husband got the brisket Mac and cheese, something he has gotten before. Its small to begin with, but his dish was so watery it was confusing. He said there were maybe 3 small pieces of brisket. My thought was they were running out of every meat that night with the influx of Nick's patrons they usually dont get and they were cutting portions. My mom got a steak and potato, she said her steak was very rare for medium and her potato was dry and hard on the outer layer.
The butter looked like margarine but I didnt ask. Nothing was great except their fries which I stole off my son's plate to try. It was really disappointing. I will not go back. I wish Nick's had been open. We spent from 6:10-7:45 there and it was torture. The belfry needs help, literally more employees and a better cook and they should have been more prepared after having higher volume of customers for a few days as Nick's had been closed for several days already and it was likely they had more customers the prior 2 days as well. I want the belfry to be successful, but I dont see how its going to last if this is how it functions. I wish I would have just gone anywhere else or gone home instead.

Had dinner with friends, group of 8. Server was great but informed us that they were out of, ribeye, edamame, lava cake. I ordered Alaskan Cod with onion rings. All of our meals arrived in a reasonable amount of time and drinks were brought right away.
My fried cod,all three pieces, were mushy. I managed through it but my experience with fish and chips is crunchy and flavorful.
Maybe an off night but probably wouldn't order that dish again.
Others in the group had a better experience.
The porter was very good. This was my first time at The Belfry.

This place has good service and great Detroit style pizza’s. Honestly the pizza is what keeps me coming back. If you are ever in Cottonwood, stop in for a drink and pizza. The pizza is the perfect size for 2 people plus the pretzel which in my opinion is probably top 2 breweries with good pretzels. The cherry on top is they have craft beer to go that’s great at home or chilling in a hot tub.
I always eat the pizza before remembering to take the picture it’s that good!

Everything you could want in a good brewery: good beer, a wide selection of food, and a bar with large TVs for football. The Detroit style pizza was great and my husband said the Irish red may have been the best he’s had.

We ordered a Barbeque pizza and brisket n’ Mac. Both were very good. The pizza was a little charged on the edges, but that could be part of the Detroit style. Waiters and waitresses were very nice. Had plenty of parking.

We enjoyed our late lunch/early dinner here the other day. We came in around 4:00 and there was plenty of parking (free) behind the restaurant. We walked in and were invited to sit wherever we wanted, we chose the patio. We ordered edamame as an appetizer and a couple of beers. We decided on a BLAT and a Caesar salad with salmon, both were excellent and the fries are not to be missed. The patio is dog friendly. The service was very good, the atmosphere was festive and we look forward to seeing you soon.

I received a room temperature burger, and the manager gave me a $1.75 discount. He said I was angry and aggressive. Hey snowflake, I was direct and firm. You should focus on the kitchen staff. Eat elsewhere.
