We decided to try this place since it’s close to our neighborhood, but unfortunately it was one of the worst dining experiences we had.
The food itself was a disappointment. We spent $55 for tacos, chips, and guacamole. The tacos were oversized, but not worth the price. The carne asada was overcooked to the point of being tough and chewy, lacking the tenderness and flavor you’d expect from properly prepared steak. The guacamole had oxidized and turned brown, suggesting it wasn’t fresh, and the chips had an overdone, almost burnt taste. Portion size doesn’t make up for poor execution. On top of that, their website is confusing with multiple menus showing different prices, so make sure you know what you’re being charged before you order.
Overall, the service was rude, the food quality was poor, and the price did not match what we received.
We would honestly recommend spending your money at a local food truck instead—you’ll get better food and better treatment. We will not be returning.

We stopped in after a hike for a quick bite before dinner and were so glad we did. It’s a wonderful little unassuming spot with incredible authentic Mexican food. We both had the fish tacos and they were delicious! Fresh.. flavorful.. and satiating!
Our waitress Arianna was wonderful and we really appreciated Susana coming out to share more about many of the dishes on the menu. You can really feel the pride and care that goes into everything here!.. We only wish we’d been hungrier so we could have tried more. Next time we’ll return with bigger appetites! Thank you, Las Salsitas! 🙏

This is a fabulous place with a family atmosphere. We live in Saint Louis, Missouri, so we were traveling in the area and had heard of the homemade tortillas in this area. We stopped in to see if we could get some tortillas to take home with us. The family that operates this restaurant was so nice and so wonderful. They immediately starting working to package tortillas for us. All of the tortillas are made from corn and hand-made. The matriarch of the family showed me what to do to ensure they did not dry out. She packaged the tortillas with so much care. I was amazed at the service and the warm feelings that were shared. The tortillas safely made it to Saint Louis and were delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone traveling nearby. Cannot rate it high enough!

We stumbled upon this hidden gem thanks to a recommendation from one of my husband's friends—and wow, were we impressed! From the moment we walked in, the experience was nothing short of delightful. The staff exuded warmth and attentiveness, and the chef herself came out to discuss some customizations for my husband's dish. She offered thoughtful suggestions, and let me tell you—she absolutely nailed it.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The quesabirria tacos were bursting with flavor, perfectly textured, and paired with a consommé so rich and savory, it was pure magic in a bowl. My husband opted for a quesadilla made with their handmade corn tortillas, and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Every bite was a celebration of fresh ingredients and skilled preparation.
As if that weren’t enough, the chef generously shared a new dish she was testing—on the house! It was bright, refreshing, and incredibly well-balanced, showcasing not only her creativity but her genuine passion for culinary innovation.
While we waited, we watched other dishes being served, and each one looked like a work of art. It’s clear that this team pours love and care into every plate—not just in flavor, but in presentation too. Everything was vibrant, crisp, and beautiful.
We’re thrilled to have found this spot (even if we wish we’d discovered it sooner!) and can’t wait to return. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our evening so memorable. Until next time!

Authentic Mexican food is served here. The portions are large, and they make their own corn tortillas. We had a slight commutation struggle in the beginning, but all turned out very well. I (we) will be going back. Check out the size of the tacos and burrito.
Highly recommend, fresh, authentic and the customer service was outstanding very helpful and patient we had a million questions.
Best Authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Northern Arizona
If you want inexpensive and authentic Mexican food, I highly suggest this place. I hands down believe this is the best taco I’ve ever had. Full of flavor!!

If you are looking for good authentic Mexican food then this is the place! Our waitress was attentive and sweet. Our group of 8 had a variety of tacos, asada fries, a chimichanga and chicken strip/fries and everyone was pleased. The restaurant is small and simple but clean and neat! The food is affordably priced. I would recommend it!
We live in Chicago, one of the cities with the biggest Mexican populations in the US and therefore lots of good Mexican restaurants. Also, my in-laws make amazing homemade Mexican food. So given my exposure to great Mexican food, Las Salsitas is a hidden gem of Cottonwood! Honestly I wasn’t totally sold on eating here at first. But I was very pleasantly surprised that it’s tasty, wholesome, quality Mexican food AND with big portions! The handmade tortillas were some of the best I had. I loved how NONE of the meat was greasy/oily but still very flavorful. And how can I not mention the salsa bar with about 6 different types of salsas? Don’t let the casual vibe fool you; it’s really bang for your buck and I would 100% make this my go-to Mexican restaurant if I lived here. My Mexican born and raised husband gave his stamp of approval! My wife's review 😊

STOP and eat here if you want the real deal! Authentic Mexican food just like I remembered from 40 years ago in Mexico! Better yet, hand made corn tortillas… deliciosas! The nopales are fresh, not jarred. Highly recommend the rajas con crema (poblanos, corn and cream). You won’t want to miss their salsas either. Yum!
Vegetarian options: Vegetarians can find enough to eat here and some outstanding options. I’m not a vegetarian but didn’t eat any meat with my meal
