I've been proud to be part of the Nic’s Italian Steak & Crab House family for the past eight years. What makes this place so special? It starts with the incredible food, crafted daily by our talented Chef Gerardo, using recipes created by our visionary founder, Michelle Jurisin.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow in many roles—not only as a server, but also as a trainer and sauté chef. One of my favorite experiences has been collaborating with Chef on desserts for special occasions, including preparing sweet creations for the annual Chocolate Walk in Old Town Cottonwood each December.
During the challenges of the pandemic, our founder Eric Jurisin went above and beyond to ensure that every team member was supported—none of us missed a paycheck or lost health coverage. That kind of leadership speaks volumes.
Restaurant work isn’t always easy, but I still find real joy in it. Now, with our new owners Andrea and Ryan Pedersen, that same family spirit lives on. They genuinely care about both our guests and our team, and they lead with respect and integrity.
I'm excited for what’s ahead and grateful to continue serving with pride at Nic’s.
Dinner at Nic’s for Father’s Day. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and it was delicious. Not too thick and fried perfectly. The sauce is great and accompanied by spaghetti.
Waitor was excellent. Staff very nice. When I go to Cottonwood again would love to try more dishes. New England shower one of best I had around.
I struggle giving this review because I don’t want more people to know about them but let me tell you! Soooooooooooooo worth it. We have always seen a line and now we know why. Nic’s is amazing. We adventure a lot for food and have been to some very high end places in the valley but Nics is so worth the drive. The staff was great. The food was amazing and if you haven’t had them you’re missing out. I can’t wait to go back, again and again. I will sing Nic’s praises to whomever will listen, but don’t all rush because I still want a seat. Hands down best place to go in the Sedona region they do not get enough credit! Only place to eat in cottonwood. Good god that Risotto! Never change!
Our filet's were excellent, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Wonderful and attentive service. Good wine during dinner, then topped off with cheesecake and a glass of port for dessert. We enjoyed every aspect of our dinner.
Boutique restaurant food quality. Very affordable for the quality. Highly recommended. I'm coming back.
Our go to place for Italian! Food is very good.
Very cute little place with the best steak my husband and I have ever had (including the $100/plate places we've been in the past). HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for amazing food in a mid-scale restaurant!
Excellent food and service but a little crowded. Also had to park across the the street behind another establishment.

Had seafood and steak there previously, and they were both excellent. As a change of pace, I ordered a pasta dish, and it was NOT nearly as good as my previous meals.
The pasta was very disappointing; the texture was like an overcooked poor quality boxed pasta, and the marinara was very watery and bland.
We'll be back for the steak and seafood, but we won't be ordering the pasta dishes again.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Cottonwood! 10/10 overall, and the prices are fair for both the portion and the quality. Every time I go here the service is on point even when they are slammed and the food comes out in a timely manner. Their steaks are always cooked to my liking (my favorite item on the menu), and this time around I tried their crème brûlée sampler for dessert (don’t ask me how I had room, lol) which I HIGHLY recommend, so yummy! You won’t be disappointed here. Also go on Mondays for the $7 martini deals! Lots of good choices that make it hard to choose.

First night in Cottonwood and we stopped at Nic’s for dinner. We’re a group of four that went to UND College of Nursing 37 years ago and catching up with we weekend in AZ. I had the fish and chips and a glass of wine and it was delicious. Others had steak and shrimp and the lobster ravioli and they raved about their meals too. Service from Faith was A+! Great atmosphere and great food and service!!

I wish I could leave a review on the food. BUT, after being told, it would be a 30-minute wait. 1 hr and 15 minutes later we were sat. I am not able to eat at 830 at night. Communication is key. If you can text to tell us our reservation is ready, you can text to let people know of a longer wait or give them the option of canceling the reservation
I will probably never come back.. Maddie, our server was the only great experience I had.

We enjoyed our visit. Very nice atmosphere and great service.
Unfortunately, both of our meals were very bland.
For a restaurant of this caliber, we expected better.
