the sandwiches and salads need more flavoring. It needs onions, pickles and other options for sandwiches and onions on salads along with dressing on the side for to go orders, so the spinach does not get wilted so bad. Also, do not leave off ingredients that are listed on the menu. there needs to be consistency. Staff were super kind and helpful. Restaurant itself is super cute and inviting. the food needs to be elevated and can be amazing if given the right ingredients.

I wish they did have more options, I loved the black bean avacdo with apple panini! Would like to see more options with the bean burger Updated from previous review on 2025-08-08
What a hidden gem!!! We decided to stop in, after driving by. Then I saw it listed on the Happy Cow site, it does say reservations required on that site, but we thought we would go in and check it out. So glad we did. Happy Cow needs to change its description, you don't need reservations.
I got the pear and cheese panini, husband got the chicken and chipotle, both were very good
Staff is super friendly.

Very cute breakfast/coffee shop. From the outside you might be hesitant but once you walk into this gem you are transformed to a rustic, farmers market-esque cottage core paradise. The food is delicious. I had the blueberry pancakes and they were huge and the blueberries were so fresh and juicy. They make everything to order. Definitely recommend!

Small menu means quality in every bite. Their community involvement is apparent and very valued as well. Super friendly staff. Clean and welcoming environment.
A Surprising Gem in Douglas, AZ
I did not expect this, in the best way possible. Walking into this café felt like stepping into a trendy breakfast spot in Old Town Scottsdale. Bright, thoughtfully designed, and full of charm, the place was welcoming from the moment we walked in.
The breakfast menu is impressive, and the use of locally sourced farm-fresh eggs is a detail that really stood out. My son and I both loved the food and the atmosphere. He was even given a flower to give his mom, such a sweet touch that made the morning extra special.
What really struck me is how far this location has come. I remember this building 12 years ago when it was just a pizza joint. Today, it’s transformed into a lively, stylish, and family-friendly spot that brings something totally fresh to Douglas.
While Douglas doesn’t have many upscale dining options, this café doesn’t try to be something it’s not. Instead, it succeeds at being a warm, buzzing gathering place with a little funk, a little class, and a whole lot of heart. It’s not just good, for Douglas, it’s great. We'll definitely be back.
Douglas, Arizona, is not on most tourism lists and very well could be if more of us spent time exploring. I have visited Douglas 3-4 times since 1974 when I lived nearby in Bisbee. My most recent visit, March.11.2025, was extremely rewarding because I found the Blueberry Cafe.
I will be staying in Douglas anytime that I have special dental needs because I have found an amazing dentist across the border in Agua Prieta, Dr. Cristobal F. Ortiz, who has helped me greatly. The Blueberry was my lunch spot earlier that day and also my breakfast restaurant the next morning. Alex, the manager, was so friendly and arranged for me to have my favorite style of crisp hash browns, crisp like burnt. I was dazzled that they were perfect as was the rest of my breakfast.
The coffee that the Blueberry uses is a Mexican specialty brand that is superior to most any cafe coffee that I have sampled in local Arizona cafes (or chains). Strong and flavorful.
I sat at a free-standing table that overlooked the cozier window seating areas. As local folks began pouring in for breakfast, my thoughts drifted away, listening to the various conversations and laughter. Even though I could barely hear the stories being shared, I felt right at home. It's a peaceful and timeless experience to spend an hour here. Thank you for surprising me with a new hangout for my visits.
Delicious
. Drinks are pretty much the best!
