I would recommend you do not order the Indian food. Bizarre, stale, and downright inedible. The tandoori chicken wings had skin that smelled old like precooked days before with tandoori spice added and heated up. I love samosas, but this was again awful, smelled weird and strangely spiced and even the dipping sauces were not flavorful. The old hotel is beautiful, but beware.. we could only eat a few bites. Not the birthday lunch I envisioned.

I ate chili relleno, in a word, awful. They were served with red sauce… a first for me…..Note the picture, they looked like enchiladas. Kind of chincy for the price we paid !

Horrible customer service, I ordered the Gadsden Poppers and the bacon around it was charco burnt, couldn’t eat them so I had to trash them. I called to complain and speak to the manager Zaria and I was told she was busy. Not ordering from you guys anymore.

Went with my sister for brunch, she only recently moved to my area and I wanted her to see and enjoy this historic hotel. We ate in the restaurant, I had the chili relleno omelet, she had the southwestern BLT with fries. I loved my dish and had enough left to bring home. She enjoyed hers as well but...BEWARE...as she was eating her french fries she nearly broke a tooth biting into what she thought was a french fry....it was a battered and deep fried chicken bone that had found its way into the fryer. We alerted the waitress.....that might have been a terribly expensive mistake for the restaurant as my sister came close to breaking a tooth on it! Otherwise it was all very good.

i understand it's under recently new ownership, and it's clearly working. still some growing pains, slightly understaffed but that's perfectly understandable in the current economy. food is delicious, you may have to wait a little longer if it's full, barista knows what they're doing. lovely atmosphere in the historic gadsden hotel, a true gem in a town that seems to be moving ahead.

Nice Cafe friendly staff, and the foods really good.

Parking: Parallel parking out front. Diagonal parking across the street.

Kid-friendliness: Didn't see any kids but they had a kids menu.

WOW! The atmosphere was amazing. The servers were like family and coming ho.e from being on the road for a long time. They were very welcoming. Our server was awesome!! The selection of food is terrific. It was hard to decide. You have to try the carrot cake fantastic rich fluffy flavor. The sweet tea was spot on. Then the entrees were presented so beautifully. The char on my T-Bone was perfection. If your every in Douglas or live there and have never been here it's worth the stop. Then check out the Gadsden next door. Thank you guys for a blessed experience. God bless yall.

Wish the seat was more comfortable. The rootbeer tasted like it lacked adequate syrup but it was good, just a little watered down. Everything else was great. Fast, fast, fast service!

This cafe is so cute! Just wish it was a tad bit more organized with my pick up order. Will be back :)
