Had high expectations because it was 4.9 stars, however the food was flavorless and/or over cooked. One of the things we ordered was a omelette that came to us burned and rubbery. We gave the plate back and the manager took it off the tab but never came to apologize or try and make it better. The Grilled chicken had a good portion size however it wasn’t seasoned well and the vegetables were watery and flavorless. The omelette is shown in photo.

We ate an early lunch of salmon and vegetables, it was excellent. Plenty of food, cooked perfectly in a delicious cream sauce. Highly recommended!

This was a great little tavern out in Douglas. The bartender was great and put up with the 6 of us that were there. The drinks were great and decently price. We ordered some bar food and it was great. This place is a must when visiting Douglas.

First, those are brands on the walls, not witchcraft or alien symbols, or so I am told (LOL). The food was really good, no canned goods. Sauces are authentic and the rib eye steak was as big as my head, seasoned and cooked perfectly. The bartender was our waitress and did an excellent balance of attentive without being nosy. Great food and excellent service.

If you find yourself in Douglas, AZ and in need of a beer and some wings, you can't go wrong with the Gadsden Hotel and Saddle & Spur Tavern. The service is EXCELLENT, the beer is cold, and the wings are hotter than you might expect. Want to venture out for margaritas and fajitas... look no further!

Complete bar with interesting cocktails, great atmosphere, and wood-smoked drinks, adjacent to restaurant

This is in the Gadsden Hotel. It's close to the original appearance of the bar, with tin ceilings, and original woodwork. The menu may seem unassuming at first, but it is well executed with some great, mexican grandma style cooking. Great service, decent local beer selection.

Well, when you're in town on business and between you and your coworker you have one vegetarian and one low-carb, finding a place to eat in a border town can be difficult, but we luckily stumbled upon the Saddle & Spur on our first night. They have vegetarian AND low carb options! Nice atmosphere. Service could vary, but as long as we had wine and good food options, we didn't care. We ended up eating here every, single night.

Came in for a cocktail before dinner and the bartender suggested Green Tea and it was soooo good!! Ended up eating in the bar as well, although you will get 2 seperate bills.
