Flying Leap is a fabulous winery! Everyone should definitely stop by to experience it! You won't be disappointed! Enjoy!!!
A treasure. Must see and taste. The som really knew his stuff ! Or he was great at making it up. Either way … loved the wine and experience.
Talk about over produced wine and odd staff. There were a few good wines but the place felt like they had gotten too big and lost their flavor. Next time I would skip and spend time at the more unique wineries in the area.
A great winery to visit! I really love the Tannat wine, but others are great, too! Gabriel and Brian are both so nice and informative in the tasting room. We love visiting there and belong to the Wine Club!
Flying Leap is hands down the best juice in the west. The care, knowledge, and experience, can be tasted in every sip of any one of there incredible wines. We have been repeat customers for many reasons. Not only the wine and atmosphere, but the staff as well. Mark the owner will treat you like a long lost friend, even if it's his first time meeting you, always making you feel like family. Gabriel, is an incredibly knowledgeable sommelier and can tell you anything you would ever want to know about the wine you are drinking. conversation with him kept us constantly coming back and ultimately was a major reason why we signed up for the wine club( which I highly recommend you take advantage of) We feel like we are visiting family when we visit flying leap. Being from Tucson, it is awesome that they have a tasting room in town, but just an hour away is an incredible property worth the trip.
Good: the wine and spirits were really delicious. Very large selection and variety. They even had spicy pepper wine. The server was really knowledgeable and friendly. Even gave recipe ideas for cooking with different wines and spirits.
Bad: a lot of the spirits were over priced for their styles and sizes. A lot of them were half splits and pricy.
Suggest: try the wine tasting and the spirit tasting.
Absolutely fabulous!
Fantastic winery. Great spot to visit. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. We did wine and spirits tasting and were excited to join the club!
Great experience here at flying leap! Super knowledgeable staff, very helpful. Take a walk through the vines!
Omg! What a robot of sommelier
I work in another vineyard and she said there is not industry discount, so I respected that. She also said there is not discount if you bring your own glass so I was forced to buy their glass in the 35 dollars tasting.
With the time I met more people that work over there and I realized that everything she said was lies. You can not do that to locals!! Besides her service did not have even a pretending "smile", everything was so robotic for this type of industry that was sad. As a customer service employee, our smile is part of our uniform.

Always love this place. They have whiskey as well. The servers are very knowledgeable on their products. Tasters are a good place to start.
Dog and kid friendly which was a plus, gorgeous grounds. Wine was subpar and $20 for one glass, kind of dated and dark inside tasting room. With so many other options around I would skip this one if we went back to the area.Editing after the business responded to my review… I wasn’t in today, was served by a woman when I was yesterday, and I stayed for 20 minutes and left half of the glass of wine (~$10 of wine) but glad to see this business is responding defensively
My wife and I drove from SLC to Green Valley, AZ for a two week vacation. We were visiting my sister who lives in the Quail Creek Resort development. When talking about interesting things to do in the area, she mentioned wine tasting. I had no idea there was a wine industry in the deserts of souther Arizona and was very skeptical.I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Flying Leap Winery in Elgin, AZ. The estate tasting facility was beautiful. The Sommelier was pleasant and very knowledgeable. Best of all, the wine was phenomenal! We bought by the case and left with over $2,000 worth of some of the best wine I've ever enjoyed. If you like Cabernet and are looking for something really special, try a bottle of "Tennot."R. Eric Lewis
We stopped in to try the flying leap wines. They did not provide their tasting price SO YOU NEED TO ASK. With our own glasses our tastings were over $56 for two! nothing else purchased. Not worth it when there are so many other better places to go!!!
Had a great experience with the spirit tasting. Staff is great, as are the spirits. My parents also thought very highly of the wine tasting.
