My wife and I stopped here and it turned out to be our favorite winery in the area. We were out in the area for a week vacation, and I had made a note to check this place out as we are both dog people. The place is very quaint and service was impeccable. Breanna was a great host and was fun to talk with. We really liked all the wines and ended up buying several bottles. Of the wineries we visited, this one had by far the best wine in our opinion. Everything about this place was great!

This review is long over due but my friends and I went to this vineyard thanksgiving weekend and it was everything we could have asked for and more! It was dog friendly, had live music, and the wine was amazing! The people there were also very friendly and it felt like a vineyard you could escape to every weekend! The fact that they are a dog rescue as well is just the icing on the cake!

Worst customer service ever! We were judged as soon as we walked in for being more talkative than the population currently drinking and therefore refused service. If you want a warm welcoming place, this is not it.

This was by far my favorite vineyard in Elgin. The service was unmatched. The husband and wife that run this place are spectacular people! Arthur was a fabulous addition to the vibe. They had a two man band playing music out front and it was perfect! It was comfortable and I felt like I was at home. We each had a couple glasses of wine and something to eat which I was very impressed by.

Rancho Rossa Vineyards and Rescued Hearts Cellars is a great afternoon get-a-way for animal lovers. My husband and I love the welcoming atmosphere inside and outside! We are always excited when little Arthur greets us. We are thrilled about their food truck. Everything tastes delicious and pairs nicely with any of their red wines. Plus, Breanna and Chris give so much to local animal shelters! Who knew that drinking wine and spending time in the beautiful hills of Sonoita would change animals' lives in Southern Arizona? It is a win-win for sure!

What a welcoming spot! Tim made us feel right at home and was super attentive - and funny! We each had a flight of their tasting wines from different grapes and different vintages. I loved that they support animal shelters in the area. On their website, they mentioned that you could get a free flight for a donation for the animals (see their website). Even without the "deal" we were still happy to donate to such a good cause. Tim was so gracious that he even gave recommendations for other wineries to try. Hey Tim, Callahan's started in 1990! LOL

I came here Valentine's day weekend and had a great time. If you are brining a dog to Sonoita, this is the place to be. They donate about 1/2 their profits to help dogs. They also have a super friendly small dog hanging out in the backyard type tasting area. Their food on site from Brea's Bakery + Bistro food truck was so good! I loved the roast beef sandwich and would get this again every time. My dog loved the eggs and sausage offered on the dog menu. My boyfriend liked his wings and onion rings as well. Everyone was extremely friendly, and we even ended up talking to two tables near us. When we first got there they had live music playing as well. They do have chocolate on their menu and this is a dog friendly area in which they can be off leash. Unfortunately I caught someone feeding my dog chocolate cake which is highly poisonous for dogs. They didn't know. So since they serve chocolate please make sure no-one is feeding your dog in this open yard. I did not like: It's a Wonderful Life, Like a Ball & Chain or the Love of My Life red blends. The 2009 Under Pressure Chardonnay was really good and I don't normally like Chardonnay. I also like the 2016 Dazed and Confused red blend. I highly recommend coming here especially if you have a dog.

One of my absolute favorite places to be on the weekend. Nothing better than good wine, great food and Arthur greeting you at the door. The view is pretty darn good too. Tim, Brea, Chris and everyone I’ve come in contact at Rancho Rossa has been friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely gracious. My smile gets bigger the close I get to the winery door. One might even say it’s my happy place.

If I could leave a negative 10 for this place I would. Apparently, if you laugh aloud and have a good time with your friends, they will not serve you. I was not drunk, but yes, I was feeling good. I mean we came here to go wine tasting, so yes, I was feeling good, we all were, that was our purpose. My friends and I came in this place 20 minutes before closing and who ever is here today, Friday the 4th, said to me when I asked which he would would recommend me, "I think water is best for you." And I was so surprised, I honestly was so surprised, I wasn't belligerent, obnoxious, rude or even loud...he just decided that he wasn't going to serve me and water is all I'll get. So whatever... bye. The person working in this place was judgmental and maybe even racist. Never again will we go back to this place! I honestly don't understand what that was all about. This place was so disappointing!! I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL...especially if you're having a good time or looking to have a good time. In Response to owner's comment: Thank you for your response. I appreciate your acknowledgment. However, I have to say that I know that I did NOT say I was intoxicated because I wasn't. Maybe what he heard was a conversation my friends and I were having about being drunk or getting drunk, but I was NOT drunk. I don't know why he would say that I, myself, said I was drunk when I wasn't. Besides, your employee went to the back room immediately after we arrived. So, yes, we were having a good time because after all, that's why we came to Sonoita, to have a night off, and have a good time. Which was the case, until we got to this place. We sat, stayed for less than 10 minutes and left because we all felt uncomfortable after that. I know my limits and I wouldn't be commenting about this incident if I knew I was on the wrong. I would be accountable for my actions in that case. I know the laws and respect it, and respect all who follow the laws, but your employee was wrong. He judged me for whatever reason he claimed he had just because we were laughing, having good conversation, and having a great time. He was the only one who thought that way about me and my state of being because I was served a glass of wine right after leaving your establishment, without hesitation or any question if I was intoxicated or not...because I wasn't. This was just a really disappointing first and last visit here. Lastly, I have to say that all the other wineries in Sonoita were pleasant, friendly, non-judgmental, helpful and had a much better vibe. Thank you.

My favorite winery in the area by far. Not only are the owners and staff some of the friendliest people, there wine is outstanding with great flavor, creative names, and artistic bottles. Their venue is comfortable with beautiful views of their vineyard. They serve food, and you can tell everything is homemade and delicious, from the homemade bread, to the pickles! I would drive down to Sonoita just for this winery. In fact, I have! This is a must on your list when coming this way!

Absolutely recommend stopping by this winery-our favorite winery in the area! Great wine, food truck, and rescue animal focused-what else could you want?!Their estate red wines are delicious with a vast tasting menu. An added bonus was their on site food truck with handmade food and treats. We loved their potato soup with FRESH made bread as well as their Christmas cookies. Their passion for wine and food was evident and everyone was knowledgeable and friendly. We felt welcomed like old friends and are looking forward to coming back to bring our friends & family.

We ended our full day of wine tasting here and we are beyond happy that we did. The team that owns and runs this tasting room and bakery/cafe food truck are incredible. The wine was super tasty and we had to bring home several bottles with us. Their new food truck Brea’s Bakery & Cafe is TO DIE FOR. The bread is out of this world incredible and I was luckily enough to take a loaf home with me. The love and the passion the husband and wife team have put into this tasting experience truly is the secret sauce and sets this place a part from all the others in the area. It’s so unique, comfortable, inviting, and delicious. Very impressed and will be back again soon with friends!
