It was a hot Saturday in Tucson, Liz & Pete were playing at Sonoita Vineyards down in Elgin… time to drive down to wine country! Surprise bonus, Don Armstrong joined them. As always when Pete, Liz & Don take the stage, the music was outstanding. And I was happy to discover this venue: the Sonoita Vineyards staff were very nice, kind & professional. And then, of course, the wine. Their Baja Boo’z hit the spot. Need I say more? What a great afternoon! Definitely on the short list for a return visit.
My favorite was the slushies great views good music.
Great wine, and a wonderful time
We loved our tasting experience at Sonoita Vineyards. We’ve been able to visit 10 wineries in the area so far, and Sonoita Vineyards has the best wines! Their grounds are beautiful. Love being able to go into the barrel room! Very cool. All around great experience. Will definitely visit again when in the area!
Loved the sunset rose wine. Enjoyed the live music ? by the Border Hookups!
My wife and I visited yesterday and had a great time. We tried 5 different wines and thought all were above average, no losers whatsoever! This is a refreshing reversal from our recent trip to the Finger Lakes wine region in New York where we found the wines to be seriously sub-par. Service was enthusiastic and above average. Enjoyed the outside space where we could sit in the winter sun and enjoy. One suggestion: please fix the women’s restroom door. Thanks for a great time.
I love how we could walk into the production room (tanks/barrels). I dislike how cold the wine educator was who helped us. She did sort of give us a friendly hello, then seemed to be very dismissive of us after that. I learned 0 percent about any wine and the winery. No tasting sheets either. I feel like the experience was severely overpriced and not worth it. You should leave a winery feeling good and empowered (at least with a couple facts about the place or its wine). This definitely wasn't it. Not even close. One of the worst experiences in about 200 tastings I've done, Az and elsewhere. But lovely place otherwise! Would not recommend unless you want 0 interaction and to be among the barrels.
Beautiful winery with a nice selection and outdoor patio
Went down for the AVA New Releases event today and my family and I had a wonderful time! Was great to see the barrel room back open and taste some new wines! We will definitely be back, Lori and her staff made everyone feel welcome and like family!!
Not a favorite. Wines are ok. Not bad just ok.

Great outdoor sitting space. The wine is reasonably priced. I’d recommend you bringing own wine glass.
Cool place for wine tasting, they give you a tree glass to remember the experience. Kind of desolate and isolated.
2nd time to Sonoita Vineyard great people and the wine is amazing.
Great views , relax fun staff, Good Wine , plenty to explore
This is my happy place. Everyone is friendly and the Angel Wings is my favorite.
