Horrible service. Sat at the counter for 10 minutes. Place was empty and no one ever came to ask if I needed anything. Go somewhere else to eat.

This is definitely a comfort food restaurant. Excellent omelets, huge pancakes, assorted sides, and reasonable prices. It's a truck stop so fuel and large bathrooms are available as well as trucker supplies. Importantly, the coffee is great! They provide as many refills as you wish, and serve it cheerfully. That's important to a tired driver.
Note: the biscuits are gynormous.
Obviously lots of parking and it's right next to the highway. The Black Bear restaurant chain began in the Pacific Northwest, and moved down the west coast and is headed east across Arizona, Texas, and into the Southland. Not all Black Bear restaurants are truck stops.
Dietary restrictions: Nothing specifically gluten free except the vegetarian omelet but multiple other items are naturally gluten free
Parking: Next to the highway
Kid-friendliness: Lots of bear items and designs, very child friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: One floor

This BBD is a disgrace, service is some of the worse I’ve ever experienced.
Definitely doesn’t live up to what one expects when visiting a BBD, the staff is lacking in all areas of customer service.
Upper BBD management needs to overhaul the Eloy store!

Came for breakfast the other day, and the place wasn't that busy. There were only four other tables in the whole restaurant, three of which already had their food. After waiting to be sat for 15 minutes, we just sat ourselves. And it took another 20 minutes for someone to come to our table to take our order. The wait staff seems either overworked or just doesn't want to work there anymore. After 35 minutes, we got our food, and at least it seemed like the cooks in the kitchen still cared because the food was good. The chicken fried steak was definitely in my top five. The cinnamon roll french toast was unique and good as well. I'd come back for the food. I'm just glad we weren't in a hurry or needed to get somewhere.

We like Black Bear Diners, so my husband and I decided we give the one in Eloy a try for breakfast. We were not disappointed - definitely would return?
Please note, it is a truck stop. Food was hot and tasty. Efficiently served. Not real busy. Here before 0800.
Reviews are both ends of the spectrum but I noticed the owner responses to reviews rapidly and that speaks volumes to me.
Thanks for the friendly service Stacy?

Restaurant was dirty, service sucked, after an hour and 30 minutes food was cold and hard like it was over microwaved. Sausage patties were raw in the middle. Waitress kept forgetting about us. People next to us never received half of their order. We watched food sit in the window for 15 minutes or more....and never delivered it to the tables. This included our food. Will never go back to this location again. It's an embarrassment to Black bear diner. Poor management, poor training. I will say one lady named Amanda (I believe) was trying to make up for her slacking co workers. She was trying to make everyone happy..... unfortunately there is only one of her.

Restaurantji Recommends
The service was horrible and slow. The food was cold and undercooked. Our server was not present at all. Maybe she has a problem with serving ppl of color. Nonetheless they don't have to worry about us coming back in here. We had planned on coming back for dinner, but I'd rather go across the street to burger King.
From this experience, I don't recommend

Excellent!! I absolutely love this place, the food is great, the staff is friendly, courteous and delivers great service!! I would like to specifically mention the two waitresses that were on shift in the afternoon while I was there, Amanda and Priscilla, they are the best, I didn't have to ask for anything, they were attentive and took care of my every need!!
Parking: Plenty of parking, easy in and out!!
