From the friendly owner to the hearty portions, everything about this place exudes authenticity and hospitality.

We opted to sit outside, enjoying the relaxing view of the fountain and the serene atmosphere. The setting was perfect for an evening meal, with a light breeze adding to the ambiance. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, stopping by to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and even sharing a few recommendations from the menu. His genuine friendliness made the experience even more special.

The portions at Alexander Greek Restaurant are impressively large—perfect for sharing or for those with hearty appetites. Everything we tried was full of authentic Mediterranean flavors, and the ingredients tasted fresh and vibrant.

- Greek Meze Platter: This was an excellent way to start the meal. The platter included hummus, tzatziki, and a feta spread with peppers (the name escapes me, but it was an absolute winner!). The creamy feta spread was the standout, with its tangy, slightly spicy kick perfectly balanced by the richness of the cheese. The meze was served with warm pita bread, which was soft and perfect for dipping.
- Greek Salad: A classic done right
- Chicken Skewers: The chicken was grilled to perfection—tender, juicy, and infused with a smoky, charred flavor.
- Lamb with Oven-Roasted Potatoes: This dish was the highlight of the evening. The lamb was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection with a slight crust on the outside, and bursting with Mediterranean spices. The oven-roasted potatoes were soft, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—a comforting accompaniment to the lamb.

I’ll definitely be back for another helping of that unforgettable feta spread and lamb! Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Greek cuisine with a personal touch.

Not sure if the service staff forgot about us or not. We were there for 2 hours. My wife said it's European. OK. Once the food arrived all was forgiven. Delicious! If you have after dinner to do's plan accordingly.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch on the outdoor patio watching the frisbee golfers nearby! Excellent service. Looks small from the front but it’s a big place. The chef came out to make sure we were enjoying our food.

Astounding!!! Food is absolutely spectacular!!! The best Greek I've ever had the opportunity to enjoy. The ambiance is nice- appropriate Greek music playing... , very aesthetic and service was perfect. I highly recommend.

I went to Alexander's Greek Taverna with my Greek friends. I let them order their favorites, and our table was full. The food was excellent. The owner came to sit with us, and the Greeks reminisced about their journey immigrating to the US and Canada. We had a warm and cozy experience. I recommend everyone try it.

Excellent food, best Greek cuisine & hospitality! Make sure to make a reservation during autumn/winter months. Traditionally prepared and served with a smile. Breathtaking view, especially at sunset, overlooking one of the tallest fountains ⛲️ in the world - Alexander’s is a must! We’re Greek citizens and we highly recommend having a meal here!

My mother is diabetic and has an extremely well-behaved professionally trained service dog. The restaurant had zero people eating at 2 pm.. The owner coldly explained they do not take pets. This 25 pound non shedding dog had a Service announcement harness. Still, we clarified that this is a service dog trained to detect blood sugar levels and he explained that it didn't matter. In a kind tone, we asked if we would be able to sit outside on their patio and he said one word, “no.”
I wasn’t interested in patronizing someone who obviously knows the law (It’s illegal to turn down the well-behaved service trained dog.)
I will be reporting them. Additionally, I will be following up with the ADA office making sure he is properly aligned.

If you want large portions, scratch that, normal portions, don’t go there. We should have known it was no good by the fact that there was only one other couple. Spanakopita we got served must have been on a diet. It had almost nothing on it. Very sad looking for $14.

Then there was a misunderstanding with the main dish we ordered and instead of accommodating THE CUSTOMERS, management was simply unwilling to meet us reasonably. First and last time for these Fountain Hills residents to patrón this place. The owners could care less about the customers and based on the amount of people dining, now I know why.

The best Greek food I have ever had. Would give it a 6 on a scale of five! Had the lamb shank (Sunday only), lamb chops, and octopus ….off the charts flavorful!! Do yourself a favor and get the potatoes as your side!! Atmosphere and service is awesome. My new area favorite!!
