This is the MOST authentic Greek food I’ve ever had in Arizona. My best friend is Greek so I grew up eating authentic Greek food quite a bit. I’ve never been able to find anything like it until today.

The food is SO FRESH I can’t believe it.

Our waiter said it was only her second day but she’s an absolute pro! She was very attentive and incredibly fast.

10/10 would recommend to everyone I know.

Best Greek food in the Phoenix area! I almost always get the lamb shank on Sundays, but I tried the Branzino for a lighter choice and it was excellent! All desserts are homemade and the baklava was super, although my favorite is galatobouriko.

The food was wonderful...we got the chicken pita, the lamb pita and the chicken skewers. We also had a flaming cheese appetizer, but I don't remember the name. The food and the service were both wonderful!!!!

We opted to sit outside, enjoying the relaxing view of the fountain and the serene atmosphere. The setting was perfect for an evening meal, with a light breeze adding to the ambiance. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, stopping by to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and even sharing a few recommendations from the menu. His genuine friendliness made the experience even more special.

The portions at Alexander Greek Restaurant are impressively large—perfect for sharing or for those with hearty appetites. Everything we tried was full of authentic Mediterranean flavors, and the ingredients tasted fresh and vibrant.

- Greek Meze Platter: This was an excellent way to start the meal. The platter included hummus, tzatziki, and a feta spread with peppers (the name escapes me, but it was an absolute winner!). The creamy feta spread was the standout, with its tangy, slightly spicy kick perfectly balanced by the richness of the cheese. The meze was served with warm pita bread, which was soft and perfect for dipping.
- Greek Salad: A classic done right
- Chicken Skewers: The chicken was grilled to perfection—tender, juicy, and infused with a smoky, charred flavor.
- Lamb with Oven-Roasted Potatoes: This dish was the highlight of the evening. The lamb was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection with a slight crust on the outside, and bursting with Mediterranean spices. The oven-roasted potatoes were soft, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—a comforting accompaniment to the lamb.

I’ll definitely be back for another helping of that unforgettable feta spread and lamb! Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Greek cuisine with a personal touch.

Not sure if the service staff forgot about us or not. We were there for 2 hours. My wife said it's European. OK. Once the food arrived all was forgiven. Delicious! If you have after dinner to do's plan accordingly.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch on the outdoor patio watching the frisbee golfers nearby! Excellent service. Looks small from the front but it’s a big place. The chef came out to make sure we were enjoying our food.

Astounding!!! Food is absolutely spectacular!!! The best Greek I've ever had the opportunity to enjoy. The ambiance is nice- appropriate Greek music playing... , very aesthetic and service was perfect. I highly recommend.

I went to Alexander's Greek Taverna with my Greek friends. I let them order their favorites, and our table was full. The food was excellent. The owner came to sit with us, and the Greeks reminisced about their journey immigrating to the US and Canada. We had a warm and cozy experience. I recommend everyone try it.

Excellent food, best Greek cuisine & hospitality! Make sure to make a reservation during autumn/winter months. Traditionally prepared and served with a smile. Breathtaking view, especially at sunset, overlooking one of the tallest fountains ⛲️ in the world - Alexander’s is a must! We’re Greek citizens and we highly recommend having a meal here!
