It's been an hour and forty and still no food. The server is overwhelmed. The place is severely understaffed. They should have told us when we were seated what the wait time was.

We had a very nice meal at VU Bistro and will definitely go there again. The fig bruschetta was delicious. We also had a wedge salad and a margarita pizza that were excellent. The view is wonderful and it could be called a hidden gem.

Great vibe. Excellent prices. Delicious food. Sophia provides top shelf service. The wedge salad ?, the burger and the fig bruschetta were outstanding.

This place is a local staple.Started from the ground up, the owner works there and is loved by the community. The vibe is calm yet full of lively conversation. The owner is a kind, loving soul and it shows. She's helped by giving struggling people free meals, encouraging them to earn it.The main cook makes a killer chicken Alfredo and has that place dialed in. He's a protector, leader, and amazing chef. They recently rearranged their patio furniture and every single seat has a chance at the incredible views that Fountain Hills is known for.A must go!

I visited Vu Bistro to plan a private celebration with no idea how to organize the event. Heidi was extremely helpful with menu items, times to invite guests and the whole nine yards. The location, view and atmosphere will be perfect for my event.

I live in Dallas and I heard about this place on TV while undergoing cancer chemo for leukemia. I made a goal to see it when we visited family in Phoenix for Thanksgiving, if I lived long enough. And what else can I say, The owner has created a magical gem on top of a mountain. It was every bit as nice as I hoped it would be. I am so grateful I got to see it.We had the margherita pizza. Actually the best I've had. Clearly they care about the ingredients. We enjoyed a couple of drinks with a perfect sunset view. And when I didn't think it could get any better live music started to play. My wife and I, with our 1 year old son stayed for an extra hour just to enjoy the atmosphere and had a heartwarming conversation with the owner. We will definitely be back when we visit Phoenix again. Locals are lucky they have the owner nearby creating such a wonderful place.

This place is awful! Went a few months ago and the waiter told us he was busy when he came to the table! It took 20 min to get a drink. Went back tonight and they never came to our table after 15 minutes, there was one other table on the patio!!! we walked up to the bar to order a drink our drink never came! I told the owner my husband and I have been sitting here for 20 min! You guys have one other party here! She was so rude to me!! Basically shoved me out the door! We will never be back!!!

As others stated, the food was good but the service was not. Waited too long for them to only bring a canned drink. Over an hour for the food to show up and they weren’t busy. Seemed to focus on the few regulars at the bar and ignore the others in the restaurant.

Heard this place by hotel host, drop in to have a very relaxed dinner, the view is spectacular, the food are wonderful!

I'm sorry to say this place was a let down. The view is decent, not as spectacular as it could be. The mixed drinks were complete trash for the prices and the bartender is limited in their mixology knowledge. Food was mediocre at best. We paid $20 for one crab cake that fell apart at the touch with a large side salad. The bruschetta was French bread with cheese and toppings that were overpriced. The waitress let us know there is a boutique on our way to the restroom and it was all $5 and below; I would not pay a penny for the trash that was being sold in there. Extremely disappointed with the overall experience. So sad as this place has so much potential to be an amazing draw in with the right food and drink menu.
