Dusty, disorganized and not a comfortable inviting outside patio area. I decided not to risk trying the food, because the outside can tell you what to expect overall. I don’t know if I made the right decision or not. I can’t say if the food is amazing or sub par.
To be fair, we would’ve been sitting outside in 110 degree weather since we traveled with our pet. I just wished the patio was cleaner and more suitable for high degree weather since it’s located in Gila bend (desert) where you would hope establishments would provide some type of protection outside for customers who travel with their pets and need a place to be comfortable. If you have a pet keep driving, if you don’t have a pet, take a gamble and sit inside

Bomb. Best burrito I've ever had. Hands down. And I've had a lot of burritos.

It's a stop we make every time we go between Phoenix and Yuma. Unassuming, unpretentious, and very affordable

We stay a weekend or two each year, just so we can visit Sofia's.
The food is our absolute favorite! Their rice is delicious. Best chicken chimi I've ever had.

Really great food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. And the service was also really good. My kids enjoyed their meals and I enjoyed the Sonoran Enchiladas.

NO BREAKFAST BURRITO AT 11:30 A.M. AND THE OWNER WAS RUDE TELLING ME THAT THIS IS NOT AN AMERICAN DINER.. SO I ORDERED SOME KIND OF A MEAT BURRITO WHICH WAS DRY AS THE SAHARA DESERT WHEN I ASKED FOR A MEDIUM SAUCE SHE TOLD ME SHE DID NOT HAVE IT STRIKE TWO.. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS GOOD WAS THE CHIPS ON THE TABLE AND THE PEPSI.. I WRAPPED UP MY BURRITO IN A NAPKIN AND BROUGHT IT TO THE BACK FOR THE ANIMALS IN THE ALLEY TO EAT IT NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN I RATHER EAT CRICKETS

Best hidden place. Dont assume by the outside it is a dive, because it isnt!!! Best chili rellano I have ever had!!!

Update in 2024, had the Sophie's special with the tamale, enchilada and chili rellano. Fantastic!
We make up excuses to go to Gila Bend so we can stop here.
