It's a small, family-and-friends style cafe. With great food, superb service, and reasonable prices. I had dinner there last week; I was staying overnight on my way to San Diego, and found Sofia's on line. Good choice. Small touches, like the taco shells perfectly crispy, the chicken cooked just right, the beans perfectly done; not too salty, not at all runny. And very large glasses of iced tea. So, no, not fawncy at all. But as my uncle used to say, there's no vitamins in the decorations. Well worth your patronage.

Great food, great service.

Stopped in aroubd 1830 on our way back from to the Valley. Placed our order (2 combination plates, drinks and a tamale) and it was in front of us within 10 minutes of when we sat down.

Staff was friendly and attentive.

Food was delicious.

Restaurant was clean and well laid out.

We will definitely be stopping by here for meals on future trips.

We stopped here on our trip back home. The food was fantastic - my husband got a carnitas plate and I opted for the gorditas and a tamale. They also have aquas frescas and Mexican sodas. The server was very friendly and helpful with a recommendation. It’s also worth noting they had a highchair for our one year old and the bathrooms were clean!
Would highly recommend!

Dusty, disorganized and not a comfortable inviting outside patio area. I decided not to risk trying the food, because the outside can tell you what to expect overall. I don’t know if I made the right decision or not. I can’t say if the food is amazing or sub par.
To be fair, we would’ve been sitting outside in 110 degree weather since we traveled with our pet. I just wished the patio was cleaner and more suitable for high degree weather since it’s located in Gila bend (desert) where you would hope establishments would provide some type of protection outside for customers who travel with their pets and need a place to be comfortable. If you have a pet keep driving, if you don’t have a pet, take a gamble and sit inside

Bomb. Best burrito I've ever had. Hands down. And I've had a lot of burritos.

It's a stop we make every time we go between Phoenix and Yuma. Unassuming, unpretentious, and very affordable

The outside of the building is not much but the food inside is wonderful! Nice portion sizes along with good service! What more can you ask for? How about great flavors and hot food! You will find both here at Sofia's! There was only one other table occupied when we arrived but by the time we left every table was full and the phone just kept ringing! That tells you just how good this place is!

Sofia's was recommended by a work colleague. The waitress was friendly and helpful. My food was excellent. Everything was fresh and flavorful. An excellent lunch stop!

The hot sauce is hot, the tamales are huge, the food is amazing. We were just driving through on I-8. So glad we didn’t settle for fast food. The food is great. I would recommend.

We stay a weekend or two each year, just so we can visit Sofia's.
The food is our absolute favorite! Their rice is delicious. Best chicken chimi I've ever had.

Really great food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. And the service was also really good. My kids enjoyed their meals and I enjoyed the Sonoran Enchiladas.
