Hmmm, not sure why there are so many great reviews about the food. It was mediocre at best. We got 6 tacos: the carnitas was very dry, the adoboda was way over seasoned, and the carnitas tasted like unseasoned hamburger. The service was good and very friendly but I couldn't recommend the food unfortunately.

Great place to stop on the way to or from Mexico or Tucson strength your legs and experience Az mexican flour try a burro to go the place is same and filled with locals.
Looking for a quick bite to eat in Gila Bend and found this gem. The tortillas were homemade. I had a carnitas taco and cheese enchilada. The enchilada sauce was perfectly flavored - a little smaller than I thought, but it ended up being the perfect amount. The carnitas was cooked perfectly. Also got the pica de gallo on the taco. Great meal. You can sit down or order to go. And the wait staff was so nice! I'll definitely be back.

Excellent breakfast! I had eggs con machaca, which was terrific, beans -- among the creamiest, most flavorful I have had anywhere, and coffee. If I'm ever in Gila Bend again, Sofia's will be my go-to!

I love this place, a Mexican diner in Gila Bend with very tasty food. I always stop there on my way through Gila Bend. Everything I've had there has been delicious and well flavored. I love their salsa. Friendly service, indoor seating, and outdoor patio. Wish I lived closer, I would be there more often. I definitely recommend it.
