I went to Arizona Wilderness on a Tuesday that felt like a Thursday pretending to be a shoe. The beer arrived before my expectations but after my sense of time, which was already fermenting somewhere near the ceiling fan. One sip tasted like a pine tree that had read too much philosophy, the next sip tasted like my uncle’s garage in 1998, but in a good way? Hard to say.
The food showed up shaped like food but emotionally it was more of a suggestion. My burger blinked at me (metaphorically… I think) and the fries were confident, almost too confident, like they knew something I didn’t. At one point I swear the table was humming, possibly in D minor, possibly just judgment.
Everyone around me seemed happy but in different fonts. The server spoke in complete sentences yet none of them connected, which honestly felt on theme. I left full, confused, slightly enlightened, and unsure if I had eaten or merely participated. Would I come back? I don’t know. Am I already there? Probably.
Five stars, three stars, no stars — time is a circle and Arizona Wilderness is in the middle holding a beer.

Great food and even better service! And the outdoor seating was perfect for a nice fall visit.

We checked out the Arizona Wilderness Brewpub on a Saturday afternoon to catch some sports. The bar is massive with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating had misters to keep you cool during the day. Their selection of beer is impressive (which should be expected since they're a brewery) and has something for everyone. I ordered a pilsner and kolsch. I enjoyed both. They were crisp with a clean taste. The service was great. Fast and friendly with knowledge of the beers on tap. Each beer was around $7 which seemed reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again the next time I'm in Arizona.

This place is always the bomb. Great beers. They have smash burgers now which are worth a try. All the food is super fresh. We always get the poutine fries, family favorite!

Excellent food and service here, good beer and the taproom is a cool place. Great outdoor seating, enough spots at the bar, one of the friendliest places to have good beer in Phoenix.

We've been coming here since it opened. Hopefully this is a fluke, but the food was not as good. The duck fries tasted very dry and so was my burger. It's always been juicy, not today though.

Great burgers. Other food is ok, but expensive for it. Yummy beer. A bit loud for the atmosphere, but I'd definitely come back and recommend the burger and drinks to friends

People always rave about AZ Wilderness, so we finally decided to try it. We weren't all that impressed. Food was okay. Burgers were good, but not amazing. Fries were mid, at best. Service was excellent. Not sure I would go again, unfortunately. I want to give it 3.5 stars, but that's not an option.

I go to Wilderness all the time & it’s definitely one of my favorite breweries in the valley! Their pretzel, duck confit wings, & monthly burgers are all so good!! If you haven’t been to the Gilbert location you need to check it out. Always well worth the visit.

First off — the nachos! Absolutely nailed it. A complete delight and definitely the highlight of the meal. The Rinn & Tonic was a fun twist on a classic, with a nice smoky edge that stood out. I was curious about the hot honey pulled pork and found it worth a try — sweet, spicy, and satisfying. Unfortunately, the peanut butter and jelly burger missed the mark for me. The peanut flavor was overpowering and drowned out everything else.
Service was okay, though the space was uncomfortably hot, which may have affected the energy and pace a bit. I’m glad I gave it a shot, but I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to return.
