Sat and the bar and was barely acknowledged. The bartender didn't smile once at us.
Paid 97.00 for two people before tip.
As we were leaving I noticed the staff was drinking and doing shots with customers.
I guess that's why they were too busy to say thanks for coming, see you soon

Absolutely overpriced, and service extremely slow. Went for lunch and was told that bartenders called im sick so service was slow. This was after waiting 30 min for out beers, after we waited 15 min for a server. I spoke to the manager and explained my frustration after our 3 hr lunch adventure and only getting 2 drinks within that time because they were so backed up. Def would stay away.

Taya (hope that's right) was awesome. we saw her be very patient with a group of women who didn't deserve it. Sorry but the Carnitas tacos where so super wet. fairly flavorless. you have to press all that excess juice out before you plate these please. chicken sandwich ok. Fries were good. despite excellent service by Taya I can't recommend

At first we supported the bar due to it being a local bar that played the Cardinals over the speakers. Until this Sunday where they now are playing the Eagles game over the speakers. Time to support bars that support Arizona.

Asked if they play the UFC fights when I got here and also checked the fight locator and both were a yes. Out of 50+ TVs not one had the fight on. Asked the bartenders 4 separate times to put on the fight and they said their manager couldn’t figure it out. They had the same 2 college football games on every TV. Stop advertising that you play the fights on your TVs when you don’t. It’s not an unreasonable request for a $150 tab.

Food was good came out at a decent time, happy the game was on, but the service was absolutely awful. We came in had no silverware, we had to ask the bartender because our waitress took forever to come up to us. It also took forever for the drinks to come out even though I just asked for a simple beer. We also had to ask for plates with our appetizer. The waitress was absolutely awful. It’s like she didn’t even care we were there or she didn’t want to work. Super disappointing.
So disappointed… seating was quick, the waitress came soon after but after waiting some 15-20 minutes and not getting out drinks (sodas) or been able to order food, we just left, because I’m sure it would have taken an eternity to get food served …

Food was very bad. Spaghetti with burnt meatballs, fries and cold chicken. Seems like everything we said had to constantly be repeated. Disappointed for how much the bill was. Likely won’t ever be back….

The Backyard in Gilbert absolutely knocked it out of the park! Our server, Lacey, was fantastic—super attentive, friendly, and made sure everything about our visit was top-notch.
The atmosphere was amazing, with a laid-back outdoor vibe that’s perfect for a night out. We felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time.
The food and drinks were just as incredible. The Scorpion Bite cocktail was a standout—perfectly balanced and full of flavor. The truffle bacon was a decadent treat, and the burger? Absolutely on point—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
A huge shoutout to Lacey for making our experience even better. If you're looking for a place with great food, killer drinks, and top-notch service, The Backyard in Gilbert is it. We’ll definitely be back!
Dietary restrictions: I ordered keto-friendly. Burger without bun and side salad, but I did sample several carbs.
