I had recently eaten at this location and been pleased so i scheduled this for a celebration meal. I made reservations for 5:30. We were the first customers. Service was ok at first but my order was wrong. I got chicken enchiladas instead of cheese. Frankly they looked unappealing with shredded chicken and a thick red sauce. There was an apology and i got my meal. The presentation was not particularly appealing and they were the smallest cheese enchiladasi have ever had. There was very minimal cheese , which is highly unusual. The two other people in the party ordered different meals, but found them lacking. Overall it was a dismal experience. Based on this experience, i will not be returning.

Me and the Wife went for a Sunday dinner. First-time customer. Waitress had to be reminded that I ordered a beer. I ordered a Chicken Chimichanga. Food was delivered, took two bites, and something didn't taste right. I opened the Chimi, and the chicken was cold in the center. It was extremely dry and rubbery. 2 or 3 day old chicken for sure. Some of the pieces had a rancid smell. My wife smelled it and cringed. It was obviously old, and the Chimichanga, itself was not deep-fried. It was just wrapped like a burrito. Not deep fried at all. I got sick from it. Spent a few hours with bad stomach cramps and throwing up. Manager was good though, He did not charge us for that meal as I did not eat it. Wife ordered a carne plate, and aside from it tasting bland, nothing was wrong with her food. Not sure how that slipped by but I think it's fairly obvious that they use Chicken from the previous day or two to make food. Chicken has absolutely no seasoning. Completely unseasoned. Was a bad experience, and my first and last visit to this chain.

This place was seriously a disappointment. We ordered what should be a safe bet. A chicken quseo taco, a fried fish taco, and a queso birria taco. The chicken taco tasted sour and old, the fish taco tasted like an old chip, but surprisingly the birria was OK. The salsas were frozen and still had ice in them watering them down, and the chips tasted old. Overall the entire experience which costed us 80 plus dollars before tip was awful. Seriously some of the worst and flavorless Mexican food I've ever had.

We love this location. Great food and awesome service. Logan was amazing.

We don't eat at a lot of chain restaurants anymore, but Barrio Queen was fine. The tacos were tasty. It was a Friday night and getting busy, so it we sat there for about 15 mins before anyone came to our table. Our waitor was friendly.

We went on a Wednesday afternoon at about 2:00. We were there to celebrate a birthday. There were about 10 of us. There were maybe one or two other tables in the whole place the whole time we were there. It took a really long time for food to come out. It also took a really long time for a drink refills and for anything to come from the bar. Our server was super sweet and she was working really hard and did a great job. I thought it was weird that when she couldn't carry out the whole order, nobody else helped her because there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant. I've gone to this place before and I've never had that kind of lag time and food especially when they weren't busy and it was just kind of odd because that's not the kind of experience I've had there in the past. We generally like Barrio Queen and typically have good service and the food is usually really good I'll give them another try but if that's the kind of service at this location we will start to frequent a different spot.

We took daughter-in-law to dinner for her birthday on a Sunday night. It was not crowded - very pleasant! Food was great. Had a few hiccups with what was ordered, but it was fixed completely. The server was so helpful with the cake we brought in - brought cake, plates, forks, etc. candles in the cake with lighter! He was awesome.

We stopped for dinner. They sat us in a booth with an infant, which was awkward. We ordered guacamole and that was different, but good. I've never had it with pomegranate seeds. We all ordered tacos and half of the table got the wrong type of tacos or something wing on their plate. The chorizo tacos were dry as dust, unanimous from everyone who ordered that. Their charred beans were ok... The drinks were pretty good but spendy. 14$ and 16$. Service was ok, but there were lulls between different items ordered. They don't clear the table and we started just handing out plates. I feel there are much better Mexican restaurants in the entire area for a lot less money. This place seems geared more towards drinks and chips type visits. I wouldn't come back here again.

We ordered the seasonal cocktails and the poleta did not come with it. No discount offered. We sat for 15-20 minutes before someone came to take our appetizer order. It came out incorrectly but no one came to the table for 15-20 minutes to check on us to send it back. We didn't have any chips to go with our appetizer. No one refilled our drinks. The waiter was unapologetic. The restaurant was only half full so being busy was not the reason. We asked for our check and went to have dinner elsewhere.

Our server was on point! Chips and salsa out just after sitting down. Water glasses refilled without asking, 2nd round of chips/salsa also w/out asking. Food delicious! Dining time 5:30. Thanks BQ! Apologies to our server for forgetting your name - (3) chopped salads and enchiladas.

Huge disappointment! Our shrimp enchilada came out barely warm. Then immediately after they brought our entrees, chicken chimichanga and rice. It was filled with dried out shredded chicken, no sauce, no seasonings. The rice was ‘crispy', as if it was sitting under a heat lamp for a long while. Our server was not very attentive and the place was almost empty. We had a completely different experience in Tempe. I will not return since there are so many other restaurants to choose from. I would definitely not recommend going here.

The food was alright. The tacos were good and two people from the party had them. The pollo burrito was not preferred by the diner and the enchilada sampler was tasty but the goat cheese is strong. The guacamole was good and the pomegranate seeds were a nice addition. The pozole was a little salty and the diner who ate it liked salt so that says something. The service was alright but the appetizer came at the end of the meal which was not ideal (the guacamole). This is most likely a one time visit for us.

Our server did an excellent job making sure we got exactly what we ordered in a timely manner. We enjoyed our lunch very much!

Been here a number of times and always enjoyed my meal. This time it missed the mark. My meal was below average. Carnitas were dry and just bland. I tried adding some salsa but didn't help. Service was excellent. Server was attentive and friendly.

We went for restaurant week. The menu had the perfect choices for everyone. Great food, great service!
