This location (Baseline and Gilbert)is a good one. It's clean, the food looks fresh and clean all around the containers. The workers are friendly and put the food together nicely in the bowl and it looks well presented (not just thrown in like slop like some other locations do).These employees seem to actually care so the place is clean and the food is done right.
I've always loved getting a fresh salad here! Lately there's almost no lettuce on the SALAD. Haha I don't think we'll keep going here because the point of a salad is to get lots of fresh lettuce ?

The employees here are always very nice and friendly. They would be even more so if their manager wasn’t so rude. The manager has RBF like no other and looks like she hates her life. It made me feel so bad for the girls in there tonight having to work under someone like that. Food is usually good, but not good enough to be tolerant of the managers severe attitude problem.
I came here yesterday and had the best lunch ever, so I decided to come back again today. The girl today was really rude and was barely putting any food in the bowl. Yesterday the girl was really friendly and stuffed it full. I decided to just leave, it was a night and day experience.

Ordered quesadilla, couldn't add anything to it. It was just a tiny bit of meat and cheese, mostly tortilla. Sauces aren't good. I wish i got a burrito instead because ingredients look good. Also i paid 19.95 for that flop and a fountain drink... get a burrito!
My girlfriend recommended me cafe rio since Iv never been. Came in and saw dust and grime on the tables, ceiling and railings. The griddle was covered in grime and the 2 girls didn't wipe it down at all so I got some charred steak pieces (I think) in my chicken taco. Prices were above most fast food Mexican places but food quality isn't there to back it up. The chicken was overcooked and tastes dated. The front line girls were chatting and laughing with the cooks which would have been fine, however, there were customers waiting to start ordering. Once they stopped talking they looked at us like we were politicians, annoyed without saying anything. Once I placed my order the 2 girls began whispering about us and our orders to each other as they placed food on the dirty griddle. Right in front of me. I didn't understand why. The customers and I were patient and respectful to the staff. Checkout was weird. One guy is trying to get me to pay and one of the line ladies was asking what extras I wanted at the same time. It was confusing and seemed disorganized. You're expected to tip and the cashier guy watched over me as I payed. It's the lack of care that's upsetting. Customer service: weird. Staff seemed annoyed to serve customers. Cleanliness: not good Food: dry and doesn't taste fresh or clean Don't go here. Maybe other cafe Rios are good? This location wasn't and for my first experience being here was mediocre, not sure if I want to roll the dice and go back. Go to Filiberto's or Fredricos.
