My wife and I had a reservation at Crust Simply Italian in Gilbert. We were seated, but after sitting at our table for over 20 minutes, no one greeted us, offered water, or took our order.

During that time, a group of white customers who were seated after us were helped almost immediately and received full service. After watching this happen and still being ignored, we decided to leave.

Based on this experience, we felt singled out and disrespected, and it raised serious concerns for us about how Asian customers are treated here. Whether intentional or not, the lack of basic service was unacceptable.

Very disappointing experience. Be aware.

It was pretty good, but not great. First time there. Maybe I got the wrong thing.
My most major complaint is they don't let you have your own pepper. I requested more and they came and just ground it for me. I wanted more but was to afraid to ask. Suggest leaving salt and pepper on the table considering there is already 3 shakers of other stuff on the table.

Overall good but I wouldn’t go back. No leadership. 8 of us and 3 ordered meals with pepperoni. 20 mins later the server said they ran out of pepperoni. Obviously management had no Idea what was going on so we all had to get menus and reorder. No manager came over and accepted responsibility and the server offered nothing for the screwup. It was also freezing in there. I had to go to the car and get blankets for everyone.

I usually love Crust. The food and drinks are great. I just wish they would have let us know they were out of pepperonis before I waited 30 mins to be seated. Their beer taps were all broken and they had limited selections. Again, would have been nice to know prior to waiting. Today’s service was ok. The food was still good as always however the thing I came for was a pepperoni pizza.

Had a nice dinner here on 12/9/25 for a business meeting. Staff was very friendly and very good follow up at our table which is rare sadly to say at most restaurants these days. I had the chicken Francese and for apps we had garlic knots, bacon wrapped shrimp, and the meatballs as a group of 8. I’ll be heading back to the Gilbert area in a few months and look forward to trying this place again so if your in the area, check em out 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Convenient location and generally allergy-aware, but the food was average. Staff seemed knowledgeable about gluten-free needs and cross-contact, but I did have to advocate and re-confirm with each person—my first plate came out with regular pasta, and later I was served breaded chicken on top of gluten-free pasta. Once corrected, my meal was prepared properly and I did not get sick.

I wouldn’t go out of my way for the food, but it’s a solid option for large groups with mixed dietary needs, and I’d return for that reason.

Such a nice gem in Cooley Station. The ambiance was nice. The staff was nice and informative.
We started the night out with some Whipped ricotta which I highly suggest trying.
Some other dishes we tried were the chopped salad, the salmon and the Stromboli. All were amazing!
