A rather disappointing dinner. Gyro meat was very overcooked, nearly jerky texture. My co-diner ordered a chicken dish. It was extremely dry and tough. Raspberry Ice Tea had a nice color, but no real flavor. The salad dressing, tzatziki sauce and vegetables were pretty good but not good enough to make up for the nearly inedible protein. Particularly for the price. The service was acceptable but not memorable. Will not be going back.

Absolutely one of best restaurant experiences I've ever had. Romeo is a genius in the kitchen. Menu is extensive. Even the wait staff is great.

The food is good which is the only reason I show up. If I had the recipes I wouldn't come though. The service has declined severely. I ordered 4 gyros and a side of fries and was given literally 5 fries (I ordered 4 gyros and 4 tiny portions of fries which they never served before.) and charged 3 dollars per side of fries when a regular side of fries is like 5 bucks. I tried to just ask for a bit more fries and of course Romeo said no. Even the poor hosts who took my order were like "this is new we don't do side orders of fries like this" I ended up paying 14 bucks for not even a full portion of fries. I've been coming here for years since I was probably like 4 so over 20 years. The owner Romeo is definitely a bit off as in he is a bigot and will price gouge cause he can also Qanon conspiracy theorists. Janice on the other hand was a bit sweeter a decade ago maybe more neurotic who knows what she's like these days. I can't lie the food is good and so is the coffee, drinks & desserts. If you don't mind the bigotry and off putting service of the owners then you'll probably enjoy the food. The avocado Turkey gyro is my favorite also try the fries with the feta dip. I probably won't be back unfortunately. So sad cause my parents live in the neighborhood.

My wife and I asked friends to meet here and have dinner. Our party of 6 was seated promptly (we had a reservation) but then waited a long time before having our meal order taken. A little wait is OK; we could catch up a bit. This wait was much too long. After ordering, it took forever to actually be served, plus one meal was overlooked by the server. Once we started eating, one meal (a gyro) was dry to the point of being inedible. When the diner asked the server if she could get some Tzatziki sauce to moisten it up, she was brought a small side bowl with hardly any in it. All gyros come with Tzatziki sauce, right? She picked at it and finally gave up. They actually charged her for it! Another person's meal ended up being served over pasta and she can't eat pasta. Upon letting the server know about the pasta issue, she was not given any option to fix it, or to have it removed from the bill. It went uneaten, yet paid for. None of us is coming here again. The slow service, bad food and no interest by the restaurant to compensate or correct the issues has added to the already bad taste in our mouths.

This is a family favorite for us, going way back even to the prior location. Great gyros, pastas, salads, Mediterranean themed foods. Great desserts and coffee. Solid selection of wine.

2 stars for average food on a pretentious menu that is more show than go. The few items I've had there are edible but not memorable. Owners are QAnon conspiracy backers, so don't talk politics there.

We were at a wine dinner there last night. 2 tables of about 9 people each. Romeo sat at one table and NEVER recognized, talked to, visited, or thanked anyone at our table. We were all new to the wine dinner experience at Romeo's so we weren't his friends, as was the table he was sitting at. The food was all white sauce, very mundane and repetitive courses. Wine was poured, but never explained what we were drinking, unless we asked.

My family and I love coming to Romeo's Euro Cafe! It's tucked away in the plaza and unassuming, but a great representation of Mediterranean cuisine. Throughout the years we've tried a good 50% of the menu and honestly you just can't go wrong! Some dishes are stellar and others are just really good, but we've never had anything that disappointed. Some of our favorites are the feta dill fritter appetizers, pasta rustica and the garlic olive oil shrimp entree. Whether you're a vegetarian or a big meat eater, there are plenty of options for even the pickiest person!! Meals are served with your choice of soup or salad. I always pick soup in the winter and salad in the warmer months. Be sure to save room for dessert!! Highly recommend ordering any of their chocolate cakes and the tiramisu! Pro tip: you can buy a bottle of their infamous feta salad dressing to go.

Beware! This place is a complete rip off! I ordered the bacon skins as part of my meal to go and when I got home I opened the container and all it was was one small single potato cut in half with a little bit of bacon and cheddar cheese in it for $11 dollars!!! I called them when I opened my container and they said that that is how it's served. I expressed that I could make that for less than a dollar and they charged me $11 dollars for that. The woman on the phone said that she would have a manager get back to me. A week later I get a call back and they stated that Romeo says that's how he makes his food. I told him that you can tell Romeo that I will not be returning ever again. Obviously Romeo must be doing very well for himself if he doesn't care about his customers.

They have the best dessert I've ever had. The death by chocolate cake is by far the best cake I have ever had. Super dense but soft and thick layer of ganache on top.

This place is without a doubt one of our favorites! Such a huge menu. So many things to choose from and everyone I ever tried was very good. The desserts are over the top. Their feta dressing is the best in the world. I always get some to go when there but I am going to start bringing home a quart. It is soooo good it doesn't last long.

Big menu but don't be afraid. Food is delicious, bakery case will rock your world! Don't forget to check out the cute local artisan products. Great place!

First time visiting this little tucked away spot in Downtown Gilbert. I had the Gyros Platter with Beef and Lamb and freshly made pita triangles. So delicious.

Ended here by word of mouth, one of our party had been here before. Lives up to its name as a cozy little cafe with a European ambiance. Leisurely meal encouraged. The menu has a good selection of Greek entrees,…eggplant, feta, pita, pine nuts etc….but by no means the only cuisine. Beautiful presentation, ample portions. Items I have not seen elsewhere… appetizer spicy lamb potatoes for instance, and my Andalusian baked eggplant with fennel sausage, was excellent! Brought home a German chocolate brownie from another amazing selection of homemade pastries. we drove an hour to get here from casa grande, and it was worth the trip.
