Black Bear Diner Gilbert

The restaurant had absolutely excellent food. The service was great and the restaurant was clean and the staff was efficient. We would definitely come back here again. We have been to two other ones one in Colorado and one in California.

Black Bear Diner is a great restaurant! The Bear’s Choice breakfast is delicious! It’s a large portion for the price. Our server Caitlin was excellent! She has a friendly personality and was attentive to our needs.

I have be going the for the past few years or more. Everything is always great.The only complaint lately is a couple wait staff where way to much perfume colognes. Nothing worse than smelling perfumes over your food.

This location sucks I go to the chandler location 5 times a week this is the 3rd time I have came to this location GILBERT to give it a another try. I brought my non verbal client and 2 little girls. We waited 10 min be4 a server even came to the table to get a drink order then was rushed with while im here let me to ur order on also. Order came out wrong had to send it back when I stopped waiter to let her know and gave me a attitude and rolled her eyes. NO REFILLS OB DRINK NO CONTINUED CHECK ON TABLE NOTHING .. HORRIBLE.....This is THE LAST TIME I WIL EVER COME TO THIS LOCATION AND WOULD NOT SEND ANYONE HERE. 3RD TIME STILL SAME CRAPY SERVICE AND MESSED UP ORDERS.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE THE DRIVE TO THE CHANDLER LOCATION FROM QUEEN CREEK AND FROM MARICOPA.

THIS LOCATION IS JUST TRASH U WANT GOOD SERVICE AND SAME GREAT FOOD GO TO THE CHANDLER LOCATION.. BOYCOTT THIS ONE!!!!

TO THE MANAGEMENT TEAM: GET UR STAFF UNDER CONTROL. TRAIN THEM TO BE A LITTLE NICER. TEACH THEM THAT IN THIS JOB UR GOING TO MEET ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE AND ONE WITH DISABILITIES. LETS GET KITCHEN ON RIGHT TRACK AND NOT MESS UP ORDERS SP UR GOOD COST GETS BETTER L.

It’s been probably 10 years since I had been to Black Bear and I remembered it being pretty good. However I was thoroughly disappointed with the latest experience. The restaurant was dingy, and we were sat at a table that was still sticky and had spills from the previous customer on the seats. The tables were also too close, and the restaurant felt overcrowded. Our waitress was polite, but her pace was plodding. It’s possible that she had too many tables and was overloaded, but even so, she lacked any sense of urgency. The food was the part the disappointed the most. It was barely warm when it came out, greasy and rubbery. The taste wasn’t great either: burned, bitter, and somehow still rubbery hash browns, limp fries, cold greasy eggs, and rubbery corned beef hash. I’m embarrassed that I recommended this place to my wife. We won’t be back

From the moment we were seated, the service at Black Bear Diner in Gilbert exceeded expectations; and that was largely thanks to our server, Chase (Aiden). Despite managing a full section, he never made us feel rushed or overlooked. Quite the opposite—he took the time to make us feel genuinely welcome and at home. Chase was not only attentive but also clearly knowledgeable about the menu and options. He carried himself with a confidence that showed he takes pride in his work and truly cares about each guest’s experience. Watching him interact with other tables, it was obvious we weren’t the only ones who appreciated his excellent service—everyone seemed to enjoy his energy. As for the food: no complaints whatsoever. Both of our meals were hot, fresh, and delicious. Great portions, great flavors, and served exactly as ordered. All around, it was a great experience. If you’re heading to this location, I highly recommend asking for Chase, he’s a standout and made our visit even better.

We went here for breakfast worst service ever had sausage was raw manager argued with us saying it's suppose to be pink in the middle no pork should never be pink in the middle eww

Was Awesome me and my Angel Amber ate there with my Boss for breakfast and we LOVED IT Definitely coming back SOON❤️👌🏻

I came here to pick up an order for a customer, and when I get there I get told "they're working on orders in the back". They didn't even ask for a name. After about 5-10 minutes, they ask me who I'm picking up for and I tell them the name, and they once again said "they're working on orders in the back". It wasn't until 20 minutes later that they told me someone else already picked it up. Why wasn't I informed of this when I first got there and checked in??? I had multiple employees tell me it's coming up but literally no one went and actually checked on it until I was already waiting for 20 minutes. I asked to speak to the manager about it because the lack of communication and management of this situation was hanled very poorly, and then the manager starts talking to me like I'm the problem when I've literally waited a long time and was rightfully frustrated at them for wasting my time. Then she accused me of yelling at her when she was the one being aggressive with me first, just for telling her that this experience was terrible and could've been handled within the first few minutes of me coming in. Very poor communication and management! Do better!

Was very very disappointed in my banana creme pie , where's the bananas 🍌! I had to dig into the creamy pudding and the pastry chef has been very stingy in putting in the bananas just tiny pieces ,do I have to buy my own bananas and stuff them in the pudding myself , Lower the prices if your going to hold back , not ordering anymore pie until they make those changes 🤔.
