Food is fresh and servings are large. Highly recommend the chicken teriyaki.

Tried a pick up order yesterday and the sushi was delicious; sticky rice and the dumplings were really good as well. I loved the spicy mayo and siracha on the side. I also bought a little tiny food making it for my child there it was a 5.00 add on and we had a lot of fun making it.

I gave 5 stars because of the service alone. They were in there a little behind on orders but were so accommodating and apologetic it warmed my heart. THAT is great customer service! Keep up the good work 👍

The food was great! We got some Katsu chicken plates and two sushi rolls. Delicious! They were super busy with tons of orders going in but they were very nice and service was top notch! Will take my family back again.

Delicious quick casual Asian. My wife gets a tuna bowl that she loves and I usually get the Chicken Katsu which is always crispy white meat, the way I like it. Edemame and Gyoza are typical sides for us. Always kind help from the owner.

Teriyaki sauce was a bit strong and quite salty. Cali roll was mediocre, I've had better elsewhere in AZ.

The atmosphere was appealing. The restaurant was clean. The staff was polite. The food was very good. The portions were very good for the price paid. One of the plates was teriyaki chicken. I was only able to eat a little bit and was going to take the rest home. The staff asked me if I was okay and if I liked the food or if I needed something else. I really appreciated that they cared about how I felt about the food. The rice was well cooked and was not crunchy from being undercooked.

First time here and it won’t be our last! The service was great, the food delicious and the owner Edward was so kind, he talked to my youngest son and gave him a candy treat when we left. Highly recommend

First impressions aren’t EVERYTHING.

Google Maps listed this place as “4.7⭐ $10-20”, or in my book, “Economy Sushi”.

I ordered the Red Dragon (#10) and the Tiger Roll (#12). Both were delivered to my table on styrofoam plates and plastic utensils complete with a mini-cup that I happily filled to the rim with a mix of wasabi and soy sauce. By presentation and comparison, the rolls are small by diameter, but held together well without falling apart when “drowned” in wasabi sauce. Once ingested, the sushi melted in my mouth with little effort, if at all.

No doubt this Husband (Edward Chung) and Wife (Joanne Lee) Duo have opted to save money on dinnerware, and put that savings into their Sushi Art. -Compared to other “Economy Sushi” places I’ve been to,... Grill & Chop offers a good selection of the essentials without flooding the landscape with loud bells and pitched whistles. If you know what you want, this place has it; Sushi, Bowls, Plates, Tempura, Bento, Ramen / Udon, Yakisoba, sides, and even Kid ‘sized bowls.

I rated the Food at 5⭐, Service at 5⭐, but the atmosphere at 4⭐ only to highlight the fact, - I didn’t come here for service and ambiance. -I came here for the food 😋

I’m on a side quest to find the tastiest katsu in the valley, and these reviews were too good for me to pass up.

Using the classic S/A/B/C/D/F tier grading system, Grill N Chop’s katsu earns an “F” rating. The chicken was so dry and tough it might as well have been jerky. Teriyaki sauce is a strange and unwelcome condiment for katsu; I much prefer a more traditional katsu sauce. Lastly, the bowl is straight up boring, with no cabbage or veggies or anything to break up the monotony of soggy overcooked rice and unpleasantly chewy chicken. Super disappointed. Grill N Chop fails at Katsu.

They do, however, thrive at customer service. The woman at the register was friendly and patient with us. My daughter’s ramen broth was crisp and bright with a solid depth of flavor. “A” tier broth.

I hope they break up with the Katsu, and soon.

I tried Grill N Chop based on a few other reviews that I read today. They did not lead me astray. I ordered that chicken Katsu plate and it was delicious! It was served over rice and some fresh steamed veggies. I will most certainly be returning for more!
