I’ll start by saying that we live relatively nearby to Hong Kong Kitchen, and have ordered from this location before. This review is a bit of a warning on the variable quality of takeout food from the restaurant.

Today is Wednesday and I ordered both orange chicken and wontons as we have done before, and as we are at home sitting at the kitchen table, we agreed that the texture, quality and freshness of the food is quite bad. Our perception is that our order was warmed up from either earlier in the day or even a previous day/days.

Maybe if this was a Friday the restaurant would be busier and the food would be fresh, but I’ve had three people try this in the last 10 minutes and all agree it is quite awful.

Simply my review on a Wednesday night at 6:54 in the evening. Thank you!

My go to is their General Tso chicken! I love their sauce but the batter they put on the chicken is some times different?

Are you searching for exceptional Chinese cuisine and outstanding service? Look no further! We stumbled upon this restaurant because the photos on their website looked enticing, and we were in for a delightful surprise.

The food was extraordinary - some of the best orange chicken, hot and sour soup, and fried rice you'll ever taste! But it wasn't just the food that made our experience memorable. Our young server (whose name I regrettably can't recall) went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. When my elderly mother mentioned feeling chilly, he promptly adjusted the air conditioning. Within minutes, she was comfortable again.

This level of attentiveness is rare, and it truly set this dining experience apart. The combination of amazing food and exceptional service has left a lasting impression on us. We're grateful to our server, who clearly takes pride in his work and treats customers with genuine care. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning!

come here a lot with my friends, always quality service as well as food. What you pay for is exactly what you get, i will always recommend this place to people.

Had a $153 order
Had the duck. Dried out overcooked.
I called them and was told the duck was made three days ago.
What else are they serving that’s not fresh?

Love the food and dish flavor 95% of the time... Nobody is perfect... What really annoys me is any special requests (add hot oil, no mushrooms or heat intensity for examples) are often incorrect and too hot is too hot ... Need consistency and QA QC outgoing on take out orders .. atmosphere is N/A on this post

Ordered Mongolian Beef for lunch today by phone. They didn't ask if I wanted brown or white rice. They also didn't ask if I wanted egg drop or wonton soup. After I picked my order up and took it home to eat, the Mongolian beef was noticeably less tastey. No sauce and dry. Flavorless. So sad, as it's been my go to for years here. Please stay consistent with your food! Will return and stay hopeful!

Amazing food and phenomenal service! Fresh food, could not stop eating. Haven’t dined in a Chinese restaurant in years and didn’t know what to expect but definitely coming back to try more on the menu. Best experience!

The General Tso’s chicken was very chewy and stringy. I could barely cut it with a fork. Egg/Spring roll was very mushy.

You don't need to know

Today my roommate and her husband went to Hong Kong Cafe. They came home with their food in to go containers. They said that the food was really bad. The rice was scorched so bad that it was nearly chocolate brown. My roommate's chop suey tasted terrible. Had a metallic twang to it. Her husband had shrimp and it too had an off taste. My chick chop surf was barely tolerable.(the gravy was as thin as soup). Your cook is using too high of heat to cook, I guess. Anyway we won't be coming back for food there as the quality is steadily declining. We have been coming there for at least 15 years. Thought you should know.
