Cute place! Very nice atmosphere and the scrub in the bathroom is a nice touch. Service and food is a different story.

Arrived at 6pm and did not receive food until 7:50. A couple meals came out 5-10 minutes later. By the time my meal arrived, it was room temperature and cold in the middle. Considering I had a meat dish, this is unacceptable.

Our waitress was kind but service overall was terrible. Given the price of the food, one would expect the service to match but it doesn’t. At all. Would not recommend this restaurant unless you have eaten beforehand or would like to leave hungry

I loved everything but the romanesco dish was so good! I loved that chef Kenny explained that it was one of the first things their produce guy specifically grew for this restaurant. I love seeing Farm to table!!
I find it very family friendly. I find that the chef visiting the table is such a nice touch not every place does that.

We had a wonderful dinner last night at Maeva in downtown Gilbert. Once you step inside you are transported to Europe and the noise, the neon lights of downtown Gilbert fade away. The lovely decor and design creates an intimate dinning experience. Here you will find a well trained staff with impeccable service. An amazing fine dining chef-driven menu with beautifully plated delicious food. There is a nicely curated wine & cocktail selection as well.

As we are originally from NYC, I would rate it along with any fine dining establishment in Manhattan, 5⭐️ for sure. It is so very nice to finally have a dinning destination like Maeva here in Gilbert.

We will surely be back to eat again at Maeva!

Such a cute space and I had high expectations, but the experience just didn’t match the vibe. The menu reads like a full restaurant, but the portions are more small plate sized and very overpriced for how little you get. We left still hungry after spending way more than anticipated. With so many great restaurants nearby, this just isn’t one I’d recommend.

I’m honestly SO disappointed by how our group was treated at Maeva in Downtown Gilbert.
We came in for a Galentine’s Day lunch and were seated in a corner, which was totally fine. One of our friends is a 22-year-old first-time mom with a 4-month-old baby. When she needed to change her baby’s diaper, she discovered the restroom had no changing table. She discreetly and quickly changed her baby in our booth using a pad and blanket, between friends, and was completely finished when a male staff member (Kenny, likely in his 50s) came over.
Instead of handling the situation with any professionalism or compassion, he pointed at her, told her “we have a restroom for that,” gave her a dirty look, rolled his eyes, and walked away — despite there being no place in the restroom to change a baby.
When my friend calmly spoke to the hostess (Kar), she was told that mothers are expected to go to their cars to change their babies. The judgmental tone from multiple staff members was shocking and humiliating. No effort was made to resolve the situation, apologize appropriately, or offer any kind of accommodation.
We were so uncomfortable and upset that we left before even ordering food. On our way out, the hostess ignored the young mother entirely and gave a half-hearted apology to me instead.
Kenny’s behavior was wildly inappropriate, and the overall response from staff made my friend feel embarrassed for simply taking care of her child. That feeling hasn’t gone away.
If you are a parent — especially a new mom — I do not recommend this place. Basic empathy and respect were completely missing, and it left a terrible impression on all of us.

This place has a quiet ambiance in the late morning with The best coffee I have ever had. It was so creamy and not too sweet. It was a full house and nothing felt rushed. The service was exceptional and the recommendation of the green chili scone was exactly what I was looking for in a snack. I will def be back in the evening for dinner as the menu looks delicious!!

We had extremely high hopes for Maeva in downtown Gilbert, but our experience was honestly shocking.

At first the staff seemed great and excited to help us kick off our wedding weekend with an event at Maeva and wildy quickly and out of left field the staff was rude, dismissive, and spoke to us in a way that felt incredibly disrespectful. At one point during our email exchanges back and forth, we were left feeling belittled about our professions and treated as if we were incompetent which was completely uncalled for and wildly unprofessional. No customer should ever walk away from a conversation feeling talked down to like that.

Hospitality is about making people feel welcomed and valued. Instead, we felt confused, brushed off, and treated like an inconvenience. The tone and attitude we encountered were so off-putting that it completely overshadowed any excitement we had about working with them.

Downtown Gilbert is full of businesses that thrive because they respect their customers. If this is how Maeva chooses to treat people, it’s hard to imagine them building lasting relationships in this community. Word travels fast when guests are treated poorly.

We left disappointed, frustrated, and honestly stunned by how we were spoken to. We would never expect, or accept, that level of disrespect from any business.

I come here often! I absolutely love the atmosphere and the food is unmatched in taste and presentation! I recommend this place to everyone. When my family comes to visit Maeva is where they request we visit first! The Chief and his staff are so welcoming and kind! I recommend the Maeva Beck sandwich for breakfast and a pasty and coffee, of course!

We were really excited to try, but left feeling underwhelmed. We were passed over several times for what seemed to be more impressive tables, who even had a visit from the chef. We sat right next to the table without even a glance our way, while they were fawned over. We were even hoping for to go coffee and pastries, but we were presented with the check and it seemed we were an inconvenience. Really bummed, to be honest, as it seemed in theory to be a great place....service from host, to servers, to head chef/possible owner were only interested in certain tables....remember that all of your customers are important!

The atmosphere is nice - variety of lighting, tables, chairs with velvet curtains and a peaceful vibe. The art wasn't my cup of tea, but the front nook with shelves is nice. Service was excellent. Visited during late morning and had the Gilbert Grains- pretty good! My friends enjoyed their pastries and drinks.

This is a hidden gem in the valley! My husband and I were thinking of having brunch in the area and we came across Maeva, well I think I can say that this is one of the best breakfast and brunch places in the whole valley!

The service from the moment we arrived was more than welcoming, and we even had our furry baby in his stroller, and there were no complaints at all. The outdoor seating is spacious enough and does not feel crowded at all. Indoor the restaurant was clean and we were impressed because unfortunately not every restaurant keeps that in mind.

Onto the drinks, my husband asked for an americano, which he mentioned they used high quality beans because the taste of the coffee was not bitter at all. As for me I had a mocha latte and it was the perfect ratio of sweetness and keeping the aroma of the coffee. With our coffee we got a coffee cake and that was really good! the density was perfect, and the flavors you can really tell one from each other.

The main courses we had an Early rise which was a sourdough bread, which is made in house and you can really tell, and a chicken katsu sando. GUYS!! the bread from the sandwich not only was made in house but the flour is straight from FRANCE!! Needless to say, the cripiness of the chicken katsu was PERFECT and not soggy at all. It was paired with a coleslaw and it was not overpowering but everything paired PERFECT. Going back to the Early Rise, the eggs, slighty scrambled and the pickled onion and radish gave it a hint of flavor that my husband mentioned that it was very well balanced.

So far, we are thinking of coming during valentines day because they will have a course dinner ALL week long! and we truly do not want to miss that!

5/5 in all categories, you truly wont be dissapointed!

Cute place but this is more like a Tapas place than a real restaurant, very pricey and the portions are a very very small !!! Save your money and explore one of the many great choices in the neighborhood.
