The biscuits and gravy are THE BEST! Any Tuesday I am available to come I will because they are soooo good! Sometimes places have great gravy, but not so great biscuits and vice versa. However it is always amazing here. Not to mention, the hash browns are the best as well!! My family loves coming here. It has never disappointed. However I will say I have not had many other items on their menu aside from the biscuits. I have had the eggs Benedict, and some seasonal pancakes that were good as well. Will deff try other items soon.

My family and I were in Gilbert visiting when we decided to have breakfast together before heading home. I've had Matt's Big Breakfast before in Phoenix (Arcadia) and loved it! So, I wanted my husband and kiddos to give it a try. The atmosphere is great! From the outside to the inside of the restaurant, everything was nice, modern, and clean. Not to mention, they had great music playing the whole time! When we walked in, the staff greeted us and allowed us to sit wherever we wanted. I really love this concept of sitting where you like and the staff helping each other out to serve the customers. Shows great team work, which they all did! Also, the manager (i think he was) came to our table to see how we were doing and what we thought of the food. It's always nice when management checks in too. The service among all the staff were beyond our expectations. Thank you so much! As for the food, AMAZING!!!! DELICIOUS!!!! SATISFYING!!!! My husband and kiddos were not disappointed. My husband and I had the Chick & Hog, which comes with eggs, ham, toast, and choice of potatoes. We're on a special diet, so we substituted regular eggs for the egg whites. We also chose the home fries, which are my absolute FAVE! I love the flavor put in to the potatoes (rosemary) along with the onions and other seasonings. Such a great combination! The ham was cooked to perfection along with the eggs! The toast was great as well. I like how they added butter to the toast and placed the toasts on top of each other with the butter inside so that the butter melts in to the toast. EXCELLENT! My husband could not believe how good the breakfast was! He really enjoyed every bite! Unfortunately, they do not have a kids menu, but that was okay because we just split a meal between my two daughters (6 y/o and 2 y/o), which fed them both perfectly! They had the cheese omelette with hash browns. Both girls loved it! My 6 y/o bragged about the cheese and how it tasted with the eggs. So much that she asked me to learn how to make them at home. LOL! As for the hash browns, I don't believe she really enjoyed them because she took one bite and then picked at it after. My 2 y/o love everything! She ate the eggs and cheese and the hash brown. Overall, everything was beyond our expectations! Excellent job Matt's Big Breakfast Gilbert!!! We will be back again for sure.

We realized the wrong choice when we saw the lipstick over the cup of coffee. One woman worker was chewing gum while working and ordering. So I couldn't understand what she was saying. We ordered cheese omelette and the bacon waffle. It was bland, waffle was overcooked along with the hash browns. Huge falloff from the original location near downtown Phoenix.

Super disappointed! We took our son who was visiting from out of town thinking we'd have a great breakfast based on reviews. Unfortunately all our meals were complete disappointments! He had steak and eggs and the steak was like beef jerky so thin and dry. Everything was horrible even the coffee. DEFINITELY won't be back and would tell others don't waste your time or money.

Wow! My husband, sister, and I stumbled into this place while walking around The Epicenter. The food and service were incredible! You guys found regulars, cant wait to come back and with friends :) Shoutout to our server Erin! She was wonderfully attentive and always made sure our coffee and water were filled. Thank you!

I highly recommend Matt's Big Breakfast in Gilbert in the new Epicenter location! Ernie and team provide delicious high quality food! The staff is friendly and attentive! Their Big Burrito is just delicious!!

It wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as I expected. I'd still choose other breakfast places over this one. The atmosphere is very loud and a server never stopped by again after taking our order. We had to flag people down just to get a sauce and a water refill. The food looks good and is filling but stick to the breakfast menu. Lunch is served with kettle chips that you could buy in a bag at the store (maybe they are?). Not anything special. The breakfast is good but nothing to get really excited over and rave about. Maybe the environment made it less than optimal. It was really uncomfortable having the lead/manager (I'm assuming) stopping next to our table to constantly tell other servers walking by to check on such and such table. I also like to enjoy my food and felt rushed. The Phoenix location was way better when we went there. It seemed more like a breakfast spot and not a rushed dining experience. If weather is nice, it may be better to ask to be seated outside so you can actually talk to people at your table. Most of the noise was coming from the staff, not other people dining.

Went here for the first time with my family. It is a family-owned restaurant and from the second you walk in you immediately get that pleasant feeling of home. They greeted us right away and let us sit wherever we wanted. It was a true team effort where everyone was working together and the wait was not long at all! So not only did we receive amazing and speedy service but the food was also phenomenal as well! We definitely will be back!

Awful. No personality in manager, poor service, food was overpriced and bland. They charge for each vegetable you add to an omelette (mine came to $23!). The greens and beans bowl had a tiny amount of spinach and they charged over $2 to add mushrooms to it. It also had no taste. The waiter knocked over the iced coffee my friend brought with her and didn't offer to replace it. Once we asked, they replaced it and charged her for it. Waiter didn't clear our dishes. Won't be back.
