It was hot inside with no circulation and flies due to the open floor plan. My food came under cooked and my reorder was mediocre at best.

The managers of Prep and Pastry, Kim and Liz, were so accommodating when I scheduled our daughter’s Baby Shower at their place yesterday. The reason I was so appreciative was that I was planning it for the Gilbert location while I live in TN! Their help and flexibility was great in covering all the party details and menu options. At our request, they set our group’s tables out on the patio and the lighting turned out exceptional for our memorable photos.

Pretty solid breakfast venue. My party got the classic French toast, plain Jane pancakes, and salmon hash with a couple of drinks. All were top notch. The pancakes were incredibly soft. French toast was perfectly flavorful. Hash had a great balance of ingredients and the creamy horseradish added a fantastic touch. All around stellar.Mimosa options are quite broad, we'll definitely be back! 5* all around.

Fabuloso! Phenomenal! Merveilleux! There aren't enough adjectives to describe how great this place is. From the excellent customer service to the wonderfully prepared plates. You cannot go wrong here. And to make it even better, this was our first time going. We were given a free pastry as a welcome gift. We selected a brown butter chocolate chip cookie, delectable. What a pleasant surprise this was!!!

Really wanted to love it but started off horribly. First, we were told the wait would be 25 to 30 minutes. We waited 50 minutes before being seated. Once seated we waited another 15 minutes before even being acknowledged by a server. Our drinks took so long to come to the point that they took one off the bill. I got the chickpea scramble which was good but is advertised as coming with seasonal vegetables, there were none. Overall just very unimpressed. The ser ice was terrible. Not a fan.

Stopped in on Saturday morning bright and early. To my pleasant surprise, the bakery case was stocked full of all the beautiful, delicious goodness you could imagine. After months of occupying my dreams, the blueberry earl grey scone was mine! It was everything I had hoped for and more. An absolute must try during your visit to Prep & Pastry!! Okay, enough about the scone lol! To start the meal, I ordered a white rose latte ($6). It was absolutely gorgeous in appearance and wonderful in flavor. I wasn't quite sure what to expect as I had never ordered a rose drink before, but it was delicious! After much indecisive menu scanning, the server was super helpful in assisting me to make up my mind as to what I wanted for breakfast. She happily offered a few of her favorites as suggestions to which I ended up saying French toast sounded good but I didn't want a whole order. She informed me I was in luck! The French toast can be served as a half order ($6.50). I selected the cure French toast and it was super delicious. The blueberry preserves and lemon glaze married perfectly atop the perfectly cooked brioche French toast. I added a side of bacon ($4.50) which was also cooked well and flavorful. The interior of the establishment is very modern and chic. It has a very cool vibe and definitely a great vibe for brunch. I am very glad and thankful we had another visit to Prep & Pastry. It was a great experience.

My cousin and I returned on an early Saturday morning as we wanted to ensure we had both the Blueberry Earl Grey Scones, and seating inside. We had a slightly unpleasant experience last time, but I had a previous Yelp event that was amazing. I'm so glad we returned as they hit it out of the park this time! Our waitress was incredibly friendly, the barista made an excellent cortado for me, and we connected with Liz who was also very kind & followed up to ensure we enjoyed our experience today. I tried the Prep Omelette for the first time, and I really enjoyed it; especially since the pesto is pine nut free! Additionally, my cousin loved her Cure French Toast and the ability to order a half order. Our coffee drinks were the perfect compliment to the meal, and the Blueberry Earl Grey Scones lived up to the hype for my cousin. All around, a great experience and enjoy the ambiance of the inside seating on a mellow Saturday morning. Definitely see both myself and her returning when in the area, or when we want to make a trip for that amazing scone!

Today was my first visit for brunch. We were seated outside with Mike serving us. Everything was perfect! Mike was friendly and attentive. My friend let me try her red velvet pastry- absolutely delish! Our cocktails were yummy, and my biscuits and gravy were savory. This is my new favorite brunch spot!

Nice relaxed location to have breakfast during the weekday. A little noisy due to the traffic on Gilbert Rd. The patio is dog friendly; a win-win-win in my book! Close to the multi-use path just up the road and the railing provides a location for racking bikes.Service was short staffed, but they were pleasant & friendly. I always appreciate a warm welcome (good morning ?) when I walk in the door.Breakfast (smoked salmon hash) was seasoned well, with tender roasted vegetables, and filling. The chai latte was a bit spicy, in a good way. Definitely a welcome addition to downtown Gilbert and the surrounding neighborhoods looking for a quiet low key brunch spot (or missing Bergie's).
