I was excited to try this place because I heard great things, but I was disappointed.
The selection of baked goods is expansive and they all looked beautiful. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a raspberry apple roll, both around $7 each. The croissant was mostly pastry with hardly any ham and cheese in the middle, and it was pretty dry. The raspberry apple roll was good but it was cloyingly sweet. Neither were bad but not worth $13 in my opinion.
I would come back and try different baked goods next time, but I won't go out of my way.

The food is really good, but also VERY expensive. The prices seem extreme. You can get a full meal at many places for the price of 2 cookies here. I refuse to pay $9 for 2 cookies. Again, the food is really good so if you don't mind the prices, give them a try.

Weāve been loyal customers of Rise Up Bakery for many years, and it has always been one of our favorite stops in Gilbert. Their service has consistently been excellent, the staff incredibly friendly, and the bakery spotless with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
A medical crisis kept us away for a couple of years, so we were excited to finally return. We were surprisedāpleasantlyāto see that the shop has nearly doubled in size since our last visit. The expanded space looks great, and the same wonderful service and friendly smiles weāve always known are still there.
However, we were a bit disappointed with the bakery items on this visit. The quality didnāt quite match what we had come to love over the years. Because weāve always had such consistently positive experiences in the past, weāre hopeful this was just an off day.
We absolutely plan to return and give it another tryāfingers crossed that things are back to the delicious standards we remember so well.
If you love great pastry, you'll love Rise Up. I had a lemon blueberry cinnamon roll and it was amazing. My son had something that I couldn't even pronounce and he loved it. Support this small business that bakes big flavor!

We bought 2 loaves of GF white bread (the only kind they have) to make French Toast with. Oh my, that was good! It made excellent French Toast. The bakery has 2 GF items it sells BUT its not Celiac safe. I ordered a pumpkin pie and got it in my mind it was GF, they don't make any GF pies; they were so helpful and willing to refund my money. If you don't have Celiac Disease or don't have to be GF then I highly recommend this bakery!
