Sloooooow service 15 to 20 for a margarita . The restaurant was almost empty on Tuesday 5 pm. Then the food was cold i had to returned it. We were 4 friends. It was the first time for two of them and the last time, of course. I predicted this restaurant is not going to make it too expensive for the quality of the food and the service.

Food is solid. More of a craft Mexican style but still solid. Lots of TV but as the day progresses into night the music seems to get louder. Be prepared for some of the slowest service imaginable with zero attentiveness from bartenders. To the point where it will seem deliberate.

So many aspects of this experience were bad. Service was poor and slow despite being mostly empty on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered two margarita drinks, chips and salsa appetizer (first clue, pay for chips and salsa), carne asada tacos, vampire tacos and taco salad with grilled chicken. The salsa was not great. Blended tomatoes with onion and spices. Tasted line canned tomatoes, not worth paying for 0/10. The food came out pretty quickly, 3 simple carne asada tacos for $18 was a joke. Overall the tacos were ok, but overpriced for what they were (5/10). The vampire tacos were not great, a huge chunk of VERY salty barbacoa meat on a cheesy tortilla drowned in consume that was mostly grease. (3/10) Taco salad was way overdressed with ranch and the chicken was rubbery and inedible. (2/10)... Halfway through the meal, still had not received our drinks, had to flag down the waitress who hadn't checked on us, to see what was up. Clearly hadn't put them in. Showed up finally another 10 minutes later 90% of the way through our meal with two low-ball glasses of margaritas that were small and weak. Mostly ice and mixers. The worst meal we've had while in Arizona. No idea how this place is rated well. It was really bad.

After a 2.5 hour flight, this is the place to go!
Totally taken advantage of as customers! We took our family here when they were in town for the holidays and wanted good Mexican food. Based on the reviews this place look great. Ordered a picture of margaritas, apps, and dinners. First picture of margaritas had no alcohol, which I told the waitress. The second picture also had no alcohol. All 6 of us could tell. Frozen machine was also broken but we were ok with that. Fajita skirt steak was ok, but very small sides. Burrito side salad was awfully salty. Mac and cheese had hardly any lobster. Tuna dinner and the guacamole apps were alright. Also, dinners took a long time to arrive after apps were finished. Skirt steak even longer, than rest of table.

They did not have the original Baileys needed for an Espresso Martini, however, the bartender was able to improvise with Baileys mint chocolate chip and it was immaculate. It was probably the best holiday espresso Martini ever. Please make it staple in Salt menu if possible. I will order at all times.
Ashton is the best server they have!

Nick was our server and really made the difference in our experience! He was accomodating and Attentive eventhough he seemed to be covering a large service area. Food-wise, tacos, taco salad, quesadilla all were jammin'! Had a $5 sangria for happy hour special and that was also well done.
Mango habanero wings were good. Not overly breaded or sauced. We'd go back again with friends and family and hope that Nick is our guy!
Parking: Plenty of spots near the larger parking lot for the mall. Can get crowded but options seem to lways be available.
Kid-friendliness: Kid menus, fun activity sheet with crayons. Comfy seating in booth
