Been living near here for almost 3 years and didn't know about it. Hidden gem!! Without doubt the best prime rib I've had in Arizona. The filet mignon was incredible as well. Both were cooked perfectly. It does get loud but that seems to be a lot of places these days. The margaritas were very good as well. This is a place that should be hopping til later than 9p on the weekends.

The Slate Bistro is located inside a semi-gated area at a golf course which seemed a little odd. The food was really good with ample portions but the star was our waiter, Matt. He is an excellent server, anticipating our needs with an easygoing, friendly and polite attitude!

I had the meatloaf, my wife had the chicken picado. I thought my meatloaf was mushy in the middle and burnt on the outside but the vegetables and potatoes were really good My wife really enjoyed her chicken piccado We also ordered the fried mozzarella when we got them it was all breading and the cheese was gone I think it must have melted out when they were deep frying it.
