We've all had this kind of fast food experience; after a few unappetizing bites the food is discarded and the waiting game begins- waiting to see if the franchise has just sickened you with their poorly prepared fare.
It happens everyday at every franchised carryout restaurant - I just happened to be the victim of this particular Sonic site. Poorly made food eaten in my car. This is not even a decent dining experience.
Honestly, no change will ever come to the fast food industry because we keep going back. We accept the mediocre meals(and occasional gastrointestinal maladies) for the convenience of it all. A reckoning is needed- a nationwide rejection of this sort of culinary malfeasance. I won't hold my breath.

I don't know how it's so hard to get an order right, but more often then not this place manages to do just that. Once again, the shake I ordered was made wrong. Can you train your staff to pay attention & make orders correctly please?

We just sat in the parking slots for over 30 minutes after clicking on our online order to say we were there. 30 minutes. The kid who brought our order out to us seemed very upset and did not have good customer service. We purposefully order ahead to try and make it easier for the employees. We were the only ones parked for a bit, and two cars who arrived after us left before we got our food. It took us ringing the alert button TWICE for anyone to even say anything. Extremely disappointed and somebody needs to get corporate to fix this place.

The server was awesome, he was super nice. The food was not so awesome. I had ordered a chilli cheese coney combo and my other half ordered the extra long chili cheese coney. Both the chilli cheese coney lacked chilli and cheese they put very little on them, my cherry limeade was also skimpy on the cherry. The only things that were tasty this visit, was the tater tots, French fries, and the pickle fries. All the sides were pretty good. But the main dish the chilli cheese coneys was a huge disappointment

Ordered food way before close, took 4 door dashes and 5 different phone calls for them to tell us they didn’t make it because they were “closed” even though the order was accepted by them!
Usually decent, this is the closest one to my house. One of the managers looks unkempt and unprofessional. One of the other managers was rather confrontational on the phone about our cold food. The entire order was cold but we only knew about the fries and tots so we asked for those to be remade. The manager who brought out our food even admitted to forgetting about the food and leaving it for an extended period of time. Won’t be returning, I’ll drive the extra mile to go to another location.

Ordered a small kid size slush, asked for a straw that fit the cup and with all the annoyance the teenager could muster, and an eye roll, he tells me they don't make them anymore and only have super long straws that fit the route 44.
I know these teens don't have kids and won't understand how difficult it is for a 3 year old in a carseat to understand why he's struggling to drink from a straw that's longer than his torso, but cmon, if u sell drink cups that small, help a parent out and get the straws that fit. And tone down the ridiculous teenage attitude, I've been in Gilbert 17 years and this used to be a great Sonic, the teens there used to hustle and work with a smile and now all of them seem angry that you had the audacity to come there and bother them. Maybe hire somebody who actually wants to work there?
