10/20/25 12:15PM I've forgotten why I have refrained from going to Starbucks, while simultaneously today being remembered why I love Starbucks. I've been to numerous all over Arizona & yesterday I happen to stop by one in Mesa Riverview, & the barista at the register never acknowledged me, only looked down & included rudeness into the package, thanks. Today I walk into 49 s Higley rd, & I'm met with kindness, attentiveness, & Curiosity, BOOM. Right there and then I remember why I fell in love with Starbucks to begin with, not because of the product, but because of the people. So this review goes out to nick for keeping the essence of Starbucks alive. Even though there are individuals like the tall guy with long black hair who make it seem like they are too cool to be working at Starbucks, there are always exceptional baristas like nick Who are the real engine to why people are loyal to the brand.

I travel the world for work and pleasure this was the most dirty location I’ve ever been to , which is sad for a brand new location
The table were not clean , wrappers on the floor and it was not busy at all , just workers who clearly don’t have pride in their store
Ordered a breakfast sandwich and they were out , you have one job

I’m extremely disappointed with the experience my 10-year-old niece had at this Starbucks. On a day with a summer heat warning in Arizona, she politely asked for a glass of water and was told “no.” This was especially upsetting because her sister was there with her and had made a purchase. This is a neighborhood Starbucks and a place for families, but apparently they don't treat people like they are welcomed.
Refusing water to anyone on a dangerously hot day is unacceptable, but refusing it to a child is especially troubling. In Arizona, where extreme heat can quickly become dangerous, basic kindness and compassion should always come first.
Because of this experience, I will gladly drive out of my way to visit other Starbucks locations—but I will not be returning to this one. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that no one—especially children—is ever turned away when they ask for water.

Visited for the first time today and had a great experience! I ordered the strawberry açaí refresher + a chocolate chip cookie, they tasted amazing and were served swiftly. The environment is great: staff is very friendly, interior is aesthetically pleasing, and the area was very clean. This location makes for an awesome study spot! 10/10 recommend and will be coming back.

The barista that took our order (and made our drink?) was very friendly and the vanilla latte was very good. Generally, we try to support more locally owned businesses (or when we can, veteran owned), but we were happy with our service and our drink today!
