Whisk & Paddle made the wedding cake of my dreams! It was absolutely perfect and exactly what I had envisioned! Our guests all loved the strawberry champagne flavor and were amazed at how beautiful and delicious the cake was! We are so incredibly glad to have had Whisk & Paddle cake be a part of our wedding and it will always hold a place in our hearts. We will 100% be back to the bakery for more delicious desserts! Thank you so much! Savannah and Joe

Amazing bakery. I called earlier in the week for a birthday cake to be picked up Saturday morning. Sue guided me through my options and helped me select the perfect options. I left decorating as a carte blanche and she made the cake look (and taste!) amazing. The price is very fair for what you get. Will be back for other special occasion cakes!

Tucked away in small plaza! Lovely customer service, quaint setup, and a small refrigerator display case of daily goodies. Most of them were cupcakes, but they had chocolate silk pie as a special for fathers day. I ended up getting one of the 5 in personal pies, which for $8 is very affordable. The filling was super smooth and light, and the cookie crust was crispy and held its shape. It was topped with a generous amount of whipped cream, which I am always a fan of, however, one suggestion I would give is to cover the pies if they are going to sit in the display case for awhile. This would help prevent that thin crusty-like film from forming. Overall, cute little bakery. Hope they expand their daily selection more!

Ordered a Gluten free cake for my friends birthday and it turned out perfect and tasted great. Everyone at the party was so surprised it didn't have gluten because it still tasted amazing! Not a bite was left by the end of the party.

Sue was great to work with! She designed the cake for our wedding last year and it turned out amazing. Tasted just as good as it looked and everyone loved it. Thank you!

Sue's was recommended to me by another bakery that was booked and couldn't take my order. She was very pleasant to talk to on the phone. I needed a smash cake and cupcakes for my grandson's first birthday but didn't have a particular design in mind. I asked if she could do a cowboy hat on top and she said she had never done one but she could do a barn. I'm very easy to please so the barn was fine. When I picked up my order she decided to do a red and blue bandana theme. She did a good job. They turned out very cute. My issue and the reason for only 2 stars is the taste. The cake part was good. But the frosting and the filling tasted like butter or grease. Not much flavor. No one at the party liked them. Even the 6 year old wouldn't eat it. And the cupcakes had cream filling but there was probably about a quarter of a teaspoon of filling and it too tasted greasy. I paid $75 in total ($25 for the smash cake and $50 for 12 cupcakes) and almost all of it ended up in the trash.

Such a tasty and delicious cake - all of it was gone by the end of the night and we are so happy that we found our new favorite bakery in Gilbert so we know where we will be ordering from in the future!

I wish I had my wedding photos back so I could share the gorgeous cake Sue made us, but I just couldn't wait to write a review. Sue was so genuinely fun to work with! She is so knowledgeable about weddings and had lots of great suggestions for vendors for everything from catering to photography. And her cakes are DELICIOUS. My husband and I were absolutely blown away when we went to go sample flavors. We got some small desserts to go along with the cake as well that were also soooo good! I cannot recommend Sue highly enough!

I had a very specific look I wanted for my wedding cake (navy blue with gold splatters) and they made it happen! Turned out beautiful and tasted just as good. Also, the s'mores tarts were a fun addition that everyone loved.

We used Sue for our wedding cake, she was one of 2 vendors available for selection with the Paseos package. Our initial first interaction with Sue was a positive one. She was very sweet, her cakes were delicious, and she seemed to know our vision for the cake. I had sent her images and showed her in the store etc.Fast forward to a couple weeks before our wedding. I would email and even after a couple times having done this she never remembered my name. I would call and she would never remember my name. It was disheartening given that it’s a small business and we figured we would be remembered. I went into her storefront about a week before the wedding to pay for additional desserts, again I wasn’t remembered, and she was working on multiple cakes at once and seemed busy. She told me she is at the Paseo every single day. This came as no shock because our experience with more than half of our selected vendors through the Paseo was that they were being over worked to keep up with how many people the Paseo books out.The most disappointing part though had to be when I saw my wedding cake and it was a plain white cake. It looked nothing like what I had asked for. I’m not sure if she forgot and defaulted to a white cake or what but it definitely was sad to see.Overall I feel like Sue is so busy that the small business feeling is lost and I don’t think she payed enough attention to us as a customer. Her cakes absolutely are delicious and she is a sweet woman.

I went to use Sue Jacob's cakes for our wedding originally scheduled for April 2020, then covid hit. We had to reschedule the date to Sept 2020. We ordered a multi tierd cake that cost us over $600 , Sue was nice to work with and I felt she would have done a good job. The reason for 3 stars was because when we cancelled in July/August 2020 due to the wedding venue being closed, she still kept $100 of our cake order. I feel this wasn't right given it wasn't our choice, we already lost tons of money and I was already heart broken over not being able to have my dream wedding. When we did get married I ended up going with someone else.

Very disappointed with the cake I ordered for my niece birthday. I paid almost almost 400 just to get the theme my niece wants and also ordered some decorations on line to make it look pretty but obviously the baker or crew does not know how to decorate cakes. I even help her decorate the cake myself.
